Yea, they increased the rewards and decreased the requirements.
The story of the quests can be told not just in an NPC conversation box, but with cutscenes, pictures etc., stuff that u can't just skip. Like the ShinMoo quests have pics and stuff.

If you want quests with shiny cut-scenes and interesting dialog, play another game. That sort of thing is never going to happen here. Not everyone wants to watch some terrible cut-scene rendered in game. WoWs for instance are mostly terrible and just waste time. I don't care what some insignificant group of npcs are doing, I want to be 85 so I can play the actual content. Sure its more interesting than grinding but its just grinding in disguise.

Considering you can play to cap in less than 2 months as a legit player with a paying job, I would hardly consider that grinding. Working your way through the latest instance sometimes feels like grinding, but it's a hell of a lot more fun than XP/SP grinding in iSRO. What are we looking at for cap grinding in iSRO as a legit? 2-3 years?
