At least for now, there are no bots, you should be happy with that, if people wanna risk botting now, that's their choice of course, lol.

IDC, if they ban all the accounts that where once botted, they can prob reduce the servers back to 3/4. And I doubt they would ever be crowded.
With a max server capacity of around 2k. You will prob find yourself 100 online legit active players. IF you are lucky, count out your profit if you ban all of them.

Doing this at random times during a given month I doubt would be a solution, once the little morons hackers find the pattern, they simply put this pattern into they bot program and it becomes easy to update the program based on this pattern.
Moving over to the annoyin "+1" comments which are becoming more and more useless spam on this forum, I would say that the only solution and the most effective one is to wipe out all the guilty accounts, present and past because it is easy to find those scums who botted in the past, the data is still there in the archive to easily scan. A wipe out means that you lose all that little shit you did... well, actually didn't do because a program played for you. And losing everything, that is the biggest hit a botter can take. Wiping their account, leaving them with nothing but their level isn't much of a punishment at all, in fact it would be a farce.
Solution... nuke them all, permanently.

I agree that would be a fair AND an effective solution.

Yes, it isn't fair. my friend.
But - legit high levellers can go PK their ass all day - try to get some nice SOSun and *run b*tch, runnnnn* right outta there!
But so long as they're no longer exploiting the game... exploiting all our sh*t out in the fields... I'm happy
I don't necessarily envy them, because they would then win; wouldn't they?
I'll own a full SOSun 8D set... one day.
All of us legits will.

i blurted out this issue in anger in another thread which was promptly flamed by others(supposedly botters) and quickly locked.
as i mentioned before, the solution to the bot problem MUST involve 2 aspects.
1. BAN bots permanantly
2. Modify the client regularly so that bot makers find it ineffective to operate
Simply fixing the client is not enough. you cannot have a complete solution to bot problem without imposing the banhammer. There must be a punishment factor to it, a deterrence. otherwise whats there to be afraid of?
As i post now, the new bot versions are already out that work. very soon those tons of ppl stalling in hotan cos they cant bot will soon be out at it again.
joymax MUST impose the banhammer if they are serious in fixing the bot problem. Ban a 80 full farmed botter and see how he feels about botting from 1 again. Now THAT will be great motivation to NOT bot. This latest in joymax's own words 'Massive bot ban' just doesnt cut it.

Someone said it earlier but I can't remember who...
Many of us lack FAITH in this new patch.
I have yet to see FACTUAL evidence which proves that the counter-measures JM applied to the new client is THAT easily crackable (if it can or cannot be cracked at all, even) for another bot-client to be formed.
Joymax wrote: After the application of this patch, we will wipe out any bot & hacked client users.
Now, personally, that to me, does NOT sound like a company sitting on its ass all day. One would of thought that the increase in player base due to the Legend I expansion would have been INCENTIVE ENOUGH for Joymax to kick it into gear with this so-called "war against the bots" (pfft, sounds stupid even quoting it).

as a legit, i've yet to see the strongest hint in the war against bot. time and again, it's been just lip service. either that, the war always ends in defeat (despite how much fanfare at the start). which ever way you see it, the legits always get the raw end of the deal.
until they do a wipe on the high levels with full blue soX sets that are clear cut botters in the eyes of legits and botters themselves, war on bots remain a myth.

Everyone just stop whining.
Joymax will do what is best for YOU and THEM.
The fact is that there are more botters than handgrinders and people who pay for a bot card is more likely to pay for silk. Obviously, Joymax isn't going to ban all the botters and destroy their vital revenue. If you think so, you need to wake up and smell the coffee.
So Joymax did what is best for YOU and THEM by taking the middle stance which is blocking the bot programs and calling it a truce, so Joymax won't be getting massive chargebacks from all the botters who get banned and lose future revenue.
So in the end, Joymax win cuz they dont get chargebacks nor lose future silk revenue, the botters win since they won't get banned, and the legits win since the server is populated.
Remember that Joymax is not stupid. They have a bunch of executives making all the important decisions, and you bet your ass that they will put themselves before YOU

dun forget that many silk buying paying botters were once silk buying legits. make a few examples of high profile botters, the rest could return as legits. problem as it is, lack of actions.

uBeR wrote: Joymax recently blocked the use of illegal clients, which is a step in the right direction. However, one knows from experience that simply patching clients is not a solution towards stopping botters. Joymax has allowed those who botted their characters to continue playing on the same characters, so long as they use a clean client. However, is this fair to the players who have been playing legitimately the entire time?
fair or not fair for you...what do you want banned bot again and again...JM they did the best of this game...the best of that they cant used bot prog?

I just think if you can't endure the grind, you shouldn't be trying to be a high level in the first place. In this game, you don't HAVE to be high lvl. Hand grind up to what you can handle, and just play the game there. Sure, there will always be people stronger than you, but it's the same in life. Who cares? Honestly, I actually had more fun in this game as a low level player, around lvl 10 through 25 or so, than I do now at 47. I can still have fun now. It doesn't have to be a race to see who can get to cap first (legit or not). Don't cheat your way to the top. If you can get there, great, if you can't handle it, that should be okay too.
I know I'll hit lvl 80 someday. Cap might be 120 by the time I hit 80, but that's fine with me.

If you're calling a bot client block a middle ground you're wrong, because bots are already playing again. Joymax left us exactly where we started: No bots banned. Joymax isn't as smart as you take them to be, Death2U.

Agreed - it's more about personal experiences and achievements. Play at your own pace, and set your own goals. Too bad everyone is busy worrying about keeping up with what everyone else is doing, instead of enjoying their own gaming experience.

Visit Takla Makan lately? All Joymax did was give empty threats.
