HIGHLY doubt that my client will send my user ID and password to your client at ANY point, regardless of if we're doing an exchange or not. That would just be horrible programming on Joymax's part. I seriously doubt they're that incompetent.
I have no idea if the "exchange hacking" thing is true or not.... If it was, the only way I could possibly see it happening is if the hacker had a way to connect into Joymax's databases and watch what transactions take place while an exchange window is created in-game. Then again, if the hacker can get into the database, they don't need the victim's help to locate the information they need.
So I'd say exchange is fine. I've accepted random exchanges before without a problem. Although there's absolutely nothing wrong with playing it safe anyway and just exchanging with people you trust.
