Nah, if gameguard does run. Try running another game with gameguard see if it starts. If GG exists for SRO, the other game shouldn't be allowed to run because GG would detect another instance of itself; however, I often run other games such as MapleStory while I'm stalling on SRO.

I do agree the point about the CRC check, though, it is easy to bypass, but most online games does have a primitive CRC check built in.

I run another game like Warcraft while stalling but GG doesnt stop it. It sucks . I heard that they remove something in GG because it's not compatible with windows vista user. I wrote some scripts which send commands to the client but GG doesnt block it.

Exactly, try running two things that has the blue shield in the system tray. It wouldn't work. GG would give error 114 I think.

Thats the one thing i miss the most about WoW. I was an addon whore lol. I had 40+ with custom gui etc and I could never believe there was none for SRO.

The thing is though I don't trust dling anything for SRO, everything would get loggers stuck on them unfortunately. I would only trust self developed ones, which I am to lazy to do.

I would love to have some sort of dmg meter like in WoW. Chat rooms would be nice to. I would also like to do gui stuff. I miss my unit frames and other stuff from wow

Hacking How-to, by PR0METHEUS. Interested in hacking? The following steps will give you the tools you need and get you up and running in no time, ready to start hacking away:

1. Go to a local hardware store and buy an axe. It doesn't need to be fancy, a single-sided axe will do, but double-sided axes may be more useful.
2. Return home with your new axe. (Note: hacking can be performed at the store, or anywhere else, but it is HIGHLY NOT recommended.)
3. Select an item in and around your house that you own.
4. Raise the axe over your head and swing it down quickly onto the selected object.
........a. For proper hacking, it is important to ensure that the sharp edge of the axe hits the object for maximum damage.)
........b. You can also swing the axe from side to side if you wish, but it may be more difficult to control.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 as often as necessary to practice your new hacking skills.

Once you've mastered the above techniques of hacking, you'll be ready to go out into the world hacking other objects. Keep in mind there will be consequences for hacking objects that you do not own. The writer of this guide does not endorse hacking of objects owned by other people.

Enjoy :)

Back on topic. I like the idea. But it is a sure thing you will meet resistance from joymax. But I don't think that means you should not try. But there are a few things I might suggest that would give it the best chance of working as intended.

First you have already tried. But you must continue to be open to joymax trying to contact them or be willing to work with them. Right now they ultimatly have better things to do than answer questions about hypothetical applications you might write. Once you write them though they are no longer hypothetical. And the more people that use it the more visible issue it will be. You might find them wanting to initiate contact with you.

Second be completely open/transparent with the project. Having the project open source is a perfect way to do this. If you provide all the files etc needed to make the application then everyone can check to see exactly what the program does and that there are no trojans/keyloggers. Which are the current biggest problem with all "3rd party apps" atm. Further you might find others wanting to assist you.

Those are 2 key strategies to maximize success.

Personally I like the idea for a beefed up chat/im. If it were possible to do some map integration etc on it that would be even better. Maybe some way to cue up and play your own music in game as well. The current joymax soundtrack gets old fast.

Add-ons would definitely be awsome if Joymax would accept them. I agree open source would be best.
