I have a lvl 20 wizard. The magic is cool and powerful, but at his level he's only got around 570 HP. If a giant walks by and just farts, he dies. I know... I know... get a party... use a cleric, etc.

Nah... I like the look and feel of the Chinese characters and skills. Besides the Eruo males all look like retards when they run, like they're about to trip and fall on their faces at any minute.


Nope. Bots and spammers and scammers, oh my! And Joymax does nothing about it. The cap/mastery issue is a secondary thing. I'm in a guild... but nobody's around anymore. They all left for other games for the same reasons I'm citing. I was just going to tough it out, level up a character to the point where I might be able to do some stuff without getting owned by farmabots and their sox gear bought with farmed gold. And the game seems to be run to encourage that.

Hey, SRO has it's fans. I'm not one. Part of me wants to keep at it, but I know the next bot frenzy I see will just piss me off. I don't like being pissed off. It ain't no fun.

Joymax's cruel profit circle:

1. Joymax depends on legit's real money to buy silk for god knows why...

2. As they play, they encounter more botters and gold botters that keep stealing there kill... we are encouraged to buy even MORE sillk for pointless tickets...

3. We buy more silk because of botters, allowing Joymax to make a profit...

And many wonder why some big time botters aren't banned...

This is my opinion... not sure about everyone else...

i dont think joymax is the only 'unfair' company, i have heard alot of other stories to.

but its obvious the botting thing isnt right, most poeple think/know joymax is allowing it or getting payed to allowing it (those bottingcompanies are korean/chinese/asian to)

It's not player bots fkking up the game, it's gold bots.
There's probably 100 gold bots for every 5 player bots on Troy.
I counted 40 of them alone in the Dead Ravine. And stop complaining about
the mastery limit, Big deal you don't like it...Neither does anyone else but they don't bitch.

I agree, and also i would like to add that its probably the botters who buy more silk then the legits, as someone stated the opposite in an above post. Oh and if you don't like the way the game is run leave, no one is stopping you

other than that i disagree with the rest of your post about this game
and who said fire is obsolete...you fool...fire is still the strongest and the choice for ALL PURE STR chars. Ice is getting better so maybe a pure int spear may find that more useful.

Even though this sounds a bit like protecting the bots, don't take it that way. I hate bots, will always hate them and they ruin the game for me too.

I don't think you can really blame any of the bots (whether they are gold bots or player bots) for botting. Look at the simple numbers:

From looking at the messages and other whispers in the game, I saw that bot prices go something like $10-$20 for something like 200 hours (might be wrong about the number itself but my point is true). So that's about $1.5 for a day of botting. Botting supplies (maybe not all, but I suppose most do) with a full game experience while not sitting in front of your PC at all.

Against that, JoyMax offers the following: a 4-week Gold ticket which doubles your XP made in 3 hours, every day for a month. That costs 180 silk which is $18.

Now lets compare what you get on each.

3 hours per day for four weeks. That means: 84 hours of extra XP. That'll cost you $18.

On the bot, you get 200 hours of easy XP (since the gold ticket gives you XP you didn't earn, as if you killed 2x the mobs, it could be seen as the same in some form) for only $15 (average of $10-$20).

The gold botters are even more of a no-brainer, considering that they probably own the bot software - they sell 100M for $50. I bet they get those amounts in no time with the way I saw them grind at Bunwangs and have 0 costs. Why shouldn't they do it?! It's a brilliant business for them!

So generally, I blame JoyMax for not offering the same services for lower price. If JM offered gold for lower prices, people could still get their precious unfair gold (if there's a demand, there'll be a supply. nothing we can do about it) but we won't need to suffer from bots grinding it as they can generate it alone. Aside from that, they'll make some good money.

If they offered their Gold Tickets for prices that make it more worth than botting, people would most likely consider to use them instead.

Just my opinion though, don't know how much of it is just my own stupidity and what is rational.

And just to take this one step further... remember that the gold companies
wouldn't be so fiercely botting and spamming on all of the servers if it
weren't so profitable to do so. Every time a player buys gold the problem
gets worse. It's all too easy to place 60% of the blame on the gold farmers
and 40% of the blame on JoyMax and then none of it on the actual
individual players supporting and encouraging the problem. You can't tell if
someone is a gold buyer or not by looking at them, so you end up venting
all of your frustration elsewhere.

JMax probably isn't going to put even a single "ladyasiana" to work
banning either player or gold bots. The gold buying players are not going
to go away. So what we have is a game that many people love and would
like to see made better, but instead we feel defeated at seeing the neglect
and greed destroying what could be one of the best MMOs around.

Despite all of that, I'm still having lots of fun and I really enjoy playing
because of the other people I've met along the way. I didn't start playing
SRO to be a lvl 80 Pure Pwnage PVP Machine... I started playing because
my friends wanted to. As long as I still have friends in SRO I can overlook
many of the problems and play on for a long time to come.

Joymax is a great company? Are you f**king serious? They are the worst company i could possibly think of.
Im not surprised they never ban bots, if they do there will be WAY less server traffic and what will happen to premium tickets? They will never really take care of bots because they will make less money, they only ban them from time to time to get us to shut the hell up.
The bots will NEVER go away.
If they do start banning them over and over again and actually stop being greedy dickheads i will buy 1000silk for everyone on this forum :] (which of course will NEVER happen, not before im 80 years old anyway)
