The main reason is snow shield is mainly for int based builds. Snow shield on str builds will end up making them not being able to attack from the mp drain.
Now when people build a char they have 2 things in mind.
1. High HP/low damage attacks(str)
or
2. Low hp/high damage attack(int)
When you pick Int you generally level faster(easy). Str takes years to level(harder). Now when the easily leveled int player gets a skill that makes their build 100 times better is not fair. The only way to kill a Level 80 ice snow shield in 1v1 pvp is with a sosun for str's. They wanted low hp/high attack...thats what they should get. It makes all pure str build basically a mistake without a skill to counter it.

hehe change after rereading whole post...if str can't kill an int with mana shield they shouldn't be a str. And I must admitt a glavier repeating spamming sse and spin can be out stragetize by ints nowadays seeing as mana shield gives them that extra time to figure out what to do.

If it makes you feel better, I am an - almost fully farmed - glaiver, and I never bitch at INTs using the snow shield. The thing is, I still rarely lose to them (I have a high crit glaive).

most glaivers i pvped with in Oasis needs mana/snow shield... the moment i start my shield they will use theirs as well....
but;s it's funny when they ran out of mp even when they use X large.

and int needs to kil fast (within the shield period)before they are dead hehehehe....

Best is when your pvping someone and your in snow, and a level 20 noob lionshouts the STR your pvping, then you kill him, he says "noobs 2 on 1"

i just think its funny when ints get called noobs for using snow shield but they call euros noobs for using bless :S

because they need an excuse for loosing.. and or being an asss hole

Im a full str glaive level 80 and I have snow shield at 20%, I barely use it in 1v1 pvp situations unless they do alot of damage. Ive never had my mp go so low that I can't use a skill. Honestly I think this is something that ints make up so they can make fun of full str's for having it.

You are both comparing a weapon skill too a force skill

I am a str char and if I see an int char pop mana shield I sometimes pop it after them, use it as a time counter too when they will die

But I must say I sometimes die too int chars in a fair match it depends on the situation I guess + I dont pretend too be superwoman

you have 22khp and i have less than 9k and you want me to pvp with you with out snow lol

i can take a few hits without snow prob like 3-4 LOL

but most of the time i dont use snow shield on pvp i just use ironshield from bicheon and for 15 i just nuke them

and using snow 50% +ironshield i can prob take more than 5 peeps but idk =P

i never complain if ints put up their snow shield
infact, if they dont put up their snow shield i feel that hes going easy on me, and if i win i feel like i dont deserve it b/c he didnt put any effort into pvping me

Snowshield is just a buff that any build can use, not just ints. It might suit ints better but meh...

I dislike it if people use snowshield in a 1 on 1 when we are evenly matched, but most of the time we agree on not using snow shield and me not using fire wall. If they use snowshield, I use fire wall. Wich will absorbe 1 nuke, wich gives me the time to pot up. Suggest more strs use it ^^.

However in a pvp without rules, I tend to shoot, phantom walk, cast fire wall, shoot, etc, etc. But then I get flamed by people for being a runner . Oi! Lemme use the advantages of meh bow!

You cant say your evenly match when you are str vs int

and not if you are glavie and have 22k+hp and int has less than 10k and dont say int hits you harder cuz most 80farm s/s ints with normal +5 set hit glaviers like 8-9k and a glavier can just 3-4 hit the inter...

when i dont use snow on pvp i just phantom away when in stun or a high crit i get a chance to nuke like 2 times before it gets to me

i hate that. whenever i pvp with snowshield. the guy who loses always has to cry about it snow shield.

Im a pure str glavie most of the time i dont lose to a pure int snow shield user. Unless hes using a sosun shield or weapon i wont lose but heres a tip for pure str glaviers. spam Soul Spear emperor and hope for a stun and just wait the 2 minute shield limit out. Once that is over 2-3skill him oh btw have XL pots and turn them on 90% lol but just wait it out

only time i get REALLY annoyed is when str glaivers have to use snow to tank a blader (me). I just laugh at them.

i don't thinks so. let's see nukers on 72 lv trying to buy +7 stuff + 80 lv snow shield giving 50% dmg absorb, If nuker playin alot with alchemy he tryin to do his pro ( or other) gear with more def, and if he got pro gear 72 - 77 with 70% phy and mag def there is no way to kill him. But don't forget Iron wall shield and Knock downs. And if nuker use Light (main) + Bicheon(sub1) + cold (sub2) there's no way to kill him ^^

72+ Wiz > cape > stealth > meteor + zerk > earth shock > meteor = all full sosun farmed 80 get 1 hit at the gate
Watch them cry then.
