If you use a bot, and don't buy silk, then theres a high chance you will get banned, however if you use a bot and buy silk, then you wont get banned. If you don't bot, and don't buy silk, then you wont be banned.
Shadow_PL Was a Silk buyer saw him a few days ago with a prem plus. Dont make Lies you cant back up.
Now a Mod is calling me a lier for something I may have been mistaken about...If I called you a lier, I'd be banned for disrespecting a Mod If you think I am wrong, atleast tell me politly. You are a Mod for god sake, show some respect
Idk i think van was nice about it. Half the people would have just told you to stfu and stop spreading rumors you hear.
The "non silk users get banned" story is one that botters made up to make themselves feel like JM needed them. No one has EVER been able to show that even a majority of non silk users get banned, only that gold bots, who are a majority and of course dont buy silk, do get banned more often.
That has nothing to do with silk.
If you fill a bucket with 50 blue marbles and 100,000 red ones, you are gonna get more red than blue if you take a handful. That is just common sense.
People are just silly and make up dumb things to soothe themselves in this uncertain world of scary Korean conglomerates who dont communicate with us well.
And I people like Van who dont bother to lubricate their words for your pleasure.

I am just sick and tired of the sheep and followers spreading these rumors without valid evidence or common sense to back up their arguments.
And puma, most of the times, people who get charge back are those who had insufficient funds, suspected to be committing an illegal action, or screwed up some info. Typically, if you say something about being charge backed on the official forums without ranting and raving, one of the Morningdews will answer you but will say that it is a dispute with the service you ordered from such as Paypal. And last time I checked, to clear up a charge back, it took 7-20+ days to get it removed if you talked with the service provider and taken care of it.
these are not only rumors... ifu are looking for evidences, just open your eyes is crystal (The past time is a big enough evidence for me) it is just what we see... is what happens every single time they make a big bot ban... Only goldfarmers. only who dont pay. Always.
I Said a "cure" sry my eng suks i meant, Joymax can get rid of bots if wants, but at this point, prolly cant. (Joymax bad managed iSRO and now Bots % > legit %. Joymax close its doors if start banning premium users)
(IMHO seems i must specify it)
And pls stop calling people sheeps and lamb, only cos they disagree with your opinion.. -_-v keep believe in joymax if you want. Only the time can give us the truth
Bots can be easily eliminated with the "Rappelz" method. That is spawning a special level 1 mob in all areas. Normal players cannot attack such a mob. The only way a player can attack these special mobs is by using a bot, which can send an attack signal. So when a player attacks these mobs, they are 100% botting and can easily be identified and banned.
Probably won't work since we had something similar to this in the beginning and all it did was kill new players.
And then, you have to worry about every character that has AOE attacks.
They can actually bring back the protectors and make it so that AOE attacks do not affect it at all. Only a direct attack will cause the targeting player to die. Besides if you are a new player and you die by a protector, then you can respawn now until level 10. If you still haven't figured out yet that the protector kills you upon attacking it by level 10 or your first encounter with it, then you shouldn't really be playing Silkroad and going to school to practice your critical thinking or something along those lines.

Please stop talking about those protectors; they worked very briefly until the bots were updated. In general: if a player can see the difference between a protector and a mob, the bots can see the difference between a protector and a mob, and it's easy to reprogram them not to attack them.

Ahem... rumors?
I believe only in statistics... and from the most botter i know, got only banned who dont bought silk on regular base. Seek out on Eldo Diabolis for example. (goldbuyer, botter, tends to behave himself histerical in most cases, etc) Tomo_HUN, etc etc... they all buy silk, they are all highlvl and wont got banned ever. In the contrary, ppl from even my guild got banned for nothing. HUN_Luiza for example. His only fault is his pc(this guy is a developer, client login page pops up in 5 sec mostly), he got banned. Others got banned too coz of pk2 editing( i warned them... but they still used to do it...) and did not bought silk. AND some of them bought silk... Others got banned from known bot unions coz of botting/etc, who used bots and did not bought silk told by their friends. Similar cases appeared with silkbuying and pk2 editing => banned status.
Not facts, just statistics. Statistics, when comprehended do not lie. "stated facts" can be lies, but not statistics.
As i see(imho) banns come mostly coz of pk2 editing or botting without silkbuying. Also pk2 editing overthrows the belief silkbuyers wont get banned. You edit pk2, you are a goner. This includes methinks crc check is on.
Did none of you ever notice the threads of ppl who claim to have been wrongly banned? They bought silk. They post here. lol You are only seeing the negatives and pretend that all other things do not exist.
For some reason they cant see all the bots, just mostly goldbots and altered client users. I dunno why. That is who they are banning tho. It hasnt seemed to me that its about silk, but then I dont have silly misconceptions and conspiracy theories clouding my vision.

This is still no proof or whatsoever. Ryuku there are lots of forum members here that are getting tired of your conspiracy theories. I'm one of them. I strongly suggest you to STOP posting your theories (and comments about how bad Joymax/Silkroad is). We are a fanbase forum of silkroad players. Most users (at least in General Discussion) are fond of playing Silkroad. There is one solution for you: if you don't like the game, don't play it. You don't have to play it. Moreover, for a particular part of gamers this game is free.
ps, after thinking, this isn't an advice, it's a command.

they're forced to ban a botter that buys silks now and then, so it looks like they're doing a good job.
you really thinks JoyMax ban a botter that spends like $50-$100 a month on silks?
they'd be crazy, for them it's like: money > game
I know if I was JM i wouldn't ban this kind of botters, no matter how you turn it, money is still the most important for them, don't forget JM is still a company, and companies are made to make money.

wow a silk buying botter banned or could it be just joymax listing a chargebacked account as a banned botter

okey to anybody pissed off by me pls dont take it personal,
at least guys, gimme the opportunity to explain and defend myself
thanks for the tips MrBow..... but i like the game. i play for fun, i dont care about how joymax make business. Not every parts of the game is bad, i like Sro.
I was just replying to EvilOrder, He asked what the community thinks about the joymax's behevior with robots silkbuyers.
i was speacking bad about the Joymax's useless actions agaist botters. (is not against forums rules...)
Now like u commanded... (for the happyness of the tired ppl) i ziplock my mouth and i leave, for me its a locked topic. Goodbye @all
well sure some silk buying bots have been banned but the banlists speak for themselves, its all about %'s theres a much higher % of banned chars that didnt not buy silk to those that buy silk, thats a fact and you can cry all you want, but you wont change that, proof you might ask? well now lets just look at all the banlists and see how many goldbots(no silk), and how many normal names(normally players who dont buy silk or do), you notice theres more fhfdgdfgfh and his cousins than normal names, this last bot list i noticed a few real player bot chars banned, something quite unusual in joymax's banlists, which usually include more repeated names from older lists than anything else. Also saw couple of known players from "legit" unions/ guilds, that made me lol btw, closet botters .
Finally why would joymax want to ban all the player bots, not only real money(like someone said, its a big company, it cares about making money nothing else) is lost from the fact that most high lvl chars that get banned would stop buying silk, and lets face it with this rumor about no silk = ban, all high lvl botters buy silk, not to mention the ones that spend lots and lots of silk on astrals immortal and on botting multiple chars with prems, another loss in money like someone said is chargeback, but you all seem to forget (if someone mentioned it b4 in this thread srr ), that mass bot ban including non gold bots, would mean that server would be practically empty, that means easy log in, which eventually means no need for a premium , i atleast i wouldnt buy a premium if it wasnt cuz of traffic , and no premium sales means big time loss at the end of the month for joymax...
Everyone saying that there is proof because there are more non-silk buyers banned then silk buyers. NO Farking DUH! You have to be ignorant and partially retarded to not make the connection on that one.
Like Nightbloom said if you put 50 red marbles into a bucket with 100,000 blue marbles you're going to get more blue than red.
There are more asdfasdf's banned than player bots, not because they buy silk, but because asdfdsfs sticks out like an elephant in a chicken coop!
Another thing you so adamantly deny is that there are members on this forum who buy silk and have banned from SRO.
All you people that think buying silk exempts you from getting banned are doing is speculating, and doing a terrible job at that.
fools.

That is the dumbest thing I have read in this topic so far. For every one bot that spends that much silk, there is a botter who pays iSRO bot as much and uses a nodc client, which gives JM 0 money.

Agreed @ nightbloom.
Heroo, do you honestly believe that botters who buy silk give Joymax more money than a server filled with legits rather one filled with botters and gold bots?
If you think they do then I believe you need to question your education.

yes i do.
without gold bots there is no need for buying silk lol.
most players that buy silk, are buying it for premium. and guss why they're buying a premium?

On the other hand, many players (specially low level starting up players) are quitting because of the bots preventing them from entering. No one below level 40 will buy Premium to log on to a game that they are trying out. Those players might have brought silk in the future if they stayed in the game, but now they are gone forever. Who is to say which way will make JM more money? But from the way JM are acting recently, it seems they decided banning all bots will make them more money at the end of the day.

I know what you were talking about. I can read better than most. I think your theoretical silk buying botter is in the top 1 percentile just like a legit who buys that much silk is. You cannot base a theory on the ends of your spectrum, but instead upon the average middle ground.
Your average botter and your average legit prolly spend the same amount of money on iSRO, your average legit spends it in silk, your average botter spends it on bot cards. Who do YOU think JM would rather keep?
