Why not? Can't (young) adults spend their Leisure time having fun on their computer? What would you do?

what if it was someone that was like 65

Even then, it's their choice of playing this game.

OT: We have a 19 year old GM now (I think he's 19 O_o)..I was it for a while (16/17 at that point) and we had a few guildies who were 20-30. (Useless info ftw). Anyway, I wouldn't mind if that guy/girl is younger, as long as it isn't too young.

i don't think age matters.
I was GM of Chaos1egion while i'm really young. Most of my active guildies were atleast 5 years older than me. When i told them, sure they laughed and stuff but nothing really changed.

i think it matters a bit. the only cirumstance in which it does is when you have some bratty 11 year old playing sro that behaves like an anoying child. there are plenty around. you can usualy tell them by thier endless spitting of chucknoris jokes, shit talking, and racisim and are not fun to play with.

Doesn't really bother me unless they're 65.. which there is someone in Troy that is that old.. but he's silent and buys scrolls like mad. On top of that he acts like the biggest baby ever. Kill him and he'll kill you over and over.

WTF?

sorry but im 21 years old, i work and i have my own place, BUT.. i will never stop playing comp games prob till im too old to play coz my reactions are too slow.. havent you seen most of the wii adverts have adults in them... computer games are fun for all ages and everyone should be able to enjoy them no matter what there age...

as for guild leaders being younger than me.. no it doesnt bother me as long as they are sensible.. my guild leader is few years younger than me but does a good job..

but damn 21 and you shouldnt be playing comp games? lol.. sorry that just makes me laugh..

I can name more ppl on Venus that are over 21 than under 21. And if I had to play with only kids on this game, I would have nightbloom send me that big bag of razors she is always so happy to offer up to anyone that is in need.....lols

lol everybodys quoted this but I disagree as well.
99% of my union is 18+ and 50% are 21+.
Dealing with kids isn't exactly fun in video games. If you have noticed all the big guilds and unions tend to be run by people 18+ or 21+. Just because those are the people that pay the most for silk.
Silk gives you so much more in a sense. Its the difference between weak and strong at many times.

But then again majority of the bot population is 18+ and majority of the legit community is 15 year olds. Tells you something I guess.

To the main Question:
Yes it matters.

whether real world or virtual world ... age shouldnt matter ... ability to lead/manage, in this case a guild/union, does.

Lol thanks mom, whats for dinner tonite? jk

On topic though, with the person's age I could care less, its all about how mature and how they react in situations.

My guild is lead by a 22 years old guy...he have the skills to lead and to manage the guild. Also, we have at least 10 ppl 30+ that are ok with him and never wanted different GM. And as far as i see now, as i'm a bit higher lvl, 95% of the high level players are 18+. Others are kids, that play with their moms and dads and they can convince them to pay for silk. Probably 2% or less are onder 16-17 playing without silk to the high lvls....but as far as i can remember i reAlly haven't seen a person lvl 72+ playing without silk AND under 18 :)

It doesn`t matter for me. I don`t care what age is everyone from my guild, what I do care about is how they behave, and what they`re doing. Even if my GM were younger than me, I wouldn`t care about it. The important thing is that his doing a great job.

I play on another game besides SRO too, and age doesnt mean anything. I dont even know how old most people are, because it doesnt matter until you start to see immature annoyances :banghead:

I have been in guilds ran by 12 year olds, as long as they are doing what they should for the guild, and running it smoothly and not acting like they are a random screaming 5 year old, its all good.

As far as age for a game, on the other game I play there are grandparents playing that game and SRO, full families too. I always been told "on you are too old to play" even tho, us "old people" are the ones paying for the servers to be running, buy premium items pays for that. As long as you are living your life, age of the players on the game dont mean squat. its their life, their right. I work 14 hours a day (well gone that much anyways). I dont want to go out and do stuff after, I rather play a couple hours on a game before bed. I still work :) I went to school full time and played. These yungins think they know it all! :P I am 38, I been playing for over 5 years on mmorpgs. Old people can have fun too!

Added Edit: The grandparent, she is 69 years old and has been playing for 4 years (I just asked her on msn). her char on this other game i Play, kicks butt :P

i kno people over 21 that play it.. i kno people that are 50+ and play sro.

GAMES ARE FOR FUN no matter what age. golf is a game, does that mean older people cant play it?

as long as adults dont blame kids for their own mistakes i think its fine.
however i feel sorry if your a turkish kid. no wait... i dont think i do

LOL, well i remember a while back there was an age thread, and a lot of people who play this game and who are on this forum are over 21...

I am 29, my wife is 29. We both play SRO, and have been playing for a couple years now. We both have level 5x bladers on Venice, and have started over recently in Venus. Two good friends of ours used to play as well. They are the same age as us.

There are plenty of people that are WELL over 21 that play this game. I see absolutely nothing wrong with using the free time I have to do what I want, even if it is to play a game.

As for the original question, age doesn't bother me at all. Age is just a number. It's how you act that matters. I've met some 15 year olds who are a lot more mature than some 35 year olds out there.
