How many times have you failed on +9?

so far I've made +5's using anywhere between 50-100 elixirs each...if after 100 and it still doesnt go +5 then I'll wait til the following next day to do it...and it usually succeeds within 50.

Actually my method is simply based on statistical alchemy fluctuation reading while doing alchemy. I usually clear out my inventory and pack up as much elixirs as I can so I can open alchemy windows and do all at once.
Notice the success and failure rate of +3 or higher, divide the success rate of +3 or higher to failure to +3, u will get the probability of the items to +4 or +5. Divide the success rate of +4 or higher over the failure rate of +4, u will get the probability of +6 or higher

Its a theory that I developed myself, so far it's been working ok for me

Different people have different ways to do it, thats just my way

i never got over +6 , only once .. lvl 8 blade .. +8 , fail at +9 .

makes it a pain in the ass when u fail +6 5 times, and the item so easily goes to +5, finally made +6 on the 6th try so I would assume +6 for this item had a success rate for 1 out of 6

odd thing is thinking back on it, I would estimate the probably of making +5 on that item at about 1 out of 3

At least 50%

, meaning the success rate of +4 or higher/ the failure rate of +4 or higher = 50% or more

ok let me clarify one last time with you

so if you succeed making +4 once but failed +4 twice...
then in calculations:
1/2 = 50%? therefore 1 in 3 chance this item going +4 is worth your risk to make +6/+7 ???

or did you actually mean success/TOTAL ??? which would come to actually 33.3% for this example and to get 50% would mean 1 success per failure which is a very HIGH success rate :twisted:

furthermore, did you had to use a whole page of elixirs on ur char to figure out the outcome or was it within the first 5-10 attempts that you conclude this percentage?

i bet you must have tested a shitload of items before you found one to + using this method

I already wasted around 40 mil on several kind of items to get gear +5 I never ever had the luck to make a +5.
Highest I ever made myself was a +4 shield using around 15 shield elixers.

I need tips and tricks couse there are guys who make 5x +5 weapons in 1 day....need tips!!!

Just do it man who cares if it fail? at least you could say you've tried.. i had a spear lvl68+5 and i told my self oh well its

1-> i destroy it for elements + stones
2-> npc it
3-> + it untill it broke or untill i reach +9

guess what i've done?

+5 +6 (lucky)+7 (Lucky)+8(Lucky)+9!and all this without immo,astral,steady yep i'v made +9 with 4elexir with something i wanted to threw away. So i've tried and succed doing it.. you only say how much you'd lose if it fail and you never say how much you'd make if it pass.. just do it and see what happen.. +9 aint a big deal on these levels item

Ehh im not that rich to be able to test and find a weapon that I can++ haha. just watever one that has immortal on it already. I usually clear out my inventory and do all the alchemy at once in order to observe the alchemy fluctuations better, usually within first 30 elixirs, you will be able to figure out the success rate for +5 or higher

you would make alot more money if you did try every weapon, that atleast drops for you. I have had a ton of weapons/gear/acc that has passed through my hands that +6 +7 very easily, just because they don't have immortal, doesnt mean you shouldn't risk going +7 on a very lucky item.

Just this morning I had an 85 1 hand sword, yesterday I made straight +6 all in a row failed +7, didnt break, put it in storage tried again in a few hours, burnt about 10 elixers on it failing +2 +3, put it back in storage, tried again this morning straight +5 failed +6 and broke, now this item was very lucky in my open (aside from it breaking) that item would have been worth putting immortal on, but anyways just want to say don't limit yourself to only items with immortal, cause I've had some of them that won't even go +5

atleast you can say you had the balls to even try. Alot of people are holding potential +9's on their characters just too scared to try past +5 or +7

my record was uhm +3 xD. first try. I never tried for more as I never needed.. never got over lvl 39 >.> and my s/s set was pimped by my friend to +5 after many many tries.
awful luck with alchemy, the +3 shield I made just because I had 3 elix I didn't need was like "bleh, why sell them" and I wasn't even expecting +2 O.o
now every stone fails and can't even get +2 no more^^

damn bad luck dude...well i only risk on immortals because i dont want it to break...nor if it turns out lucky - i can't afford that much silk to buy immortals so yeah have to be conservative about it.

btw...do you put on lucky after +5? or is it worth using only for +7 and onwards?
lucky stones are scarce and expensive on my server...i can only afford so much :cry:

Three times, but they were on low lvl sos and I had left over elixirs o.O It was a lv 8 sos sword that broke for 9 and something else I can't remember, but it was a low lvl sos weapon as well. The other item was a 56 shield that dropped from someone outside ressing when they were trying to rob me(Long long long ago. I didn't feel the need to give it back since he was outside ressing. I'm as much of an ass as he was XD) so it went +7 then 8 and I was like "zomfgz lets go for +9" I had no need for it to be 8 hell I never used it.

just failed my first +9 today, 85 2hand 100% phy att
lucky used on +7 tried to sell for like a week, no one would give a good price so I said screw it, put a lucky on it +8, and I was like cool.. this must be a really lucky weapon right? 100% phy att and +8 wow so I was like its got to goto +9 but it failed.. really sucks, I'll try on it again of course

but I'm going to leave it stored away for awhile, worst things was trying to 100% all the blues and the 100% phy att went to 0% using 10% stones.. was a very bad day for alchemy..

but now +9 don't feel so hard anymore, don't know why I guess cuz it was so close I could taste it lol
