2. I can't say how it's done, because if I do so, massive scams will be the result.
3. The only advice, whihc is enough to prevent you from being scammed, is: Don't do anything that migh seem a bit strange to you. These people will come to you and ask you if they can see your weapon. In exchange for showing them your weapon, they will give you an amount of gold (like 50 million). Since it's a pretty good deal you WILL show them the weapon. They ask you to do something, which seems totally innocent. You do it and they give you 50 million. You go cry out ouf happyness for making 50 million in 1 minute. To be sure, you check out if you still have your weapon, and you DO. Then you decide to go PVP'ing in DW and suddenly realizer your weapon is GONE.

Ooh and Grimm, if this is an old BUG, please explain it to me. I myself don't still don't understand it fully.

Yeh thats what happened to me asked me to press F12 after i pressed it again looks like the wep wasnt in exchange window anymore but it was i didnt fall for it just blocked him.
I know it now. . tbh he shouldn't tell it because it's a very bad bug on JM's part. If it's only known by a few as you say, you really shouldn't have made this thread.... I kinda wish I didn't know.. now do I tell my guildmates so that they won't get scammed or do I leave it alone because I don't know if they would try to scam if they knew.. omg ><

What I make of it:
Only a few people know this scam now, but obviously more will learn and eventually massive scam will result.
The only thing they will tell us, which supposedly is enough to prevent you from being scammed, is to make sure you don't do anything "strange". This "strange" thing could quite possibly F12. These people will come to you and ask you if they can see your weapon. After you show them your weapon, they will put gold in their portion of the exchange window. They will ask you to try and use the stall network out of town, or something involving F12. You do it and they give you gold. After the exchange, your weapon is still in your inventory, but you is either unable to be equipped, or vanishes when you teleport. Its possible that if you press F12 while having in exchange open, the icons for weapons disappear, so you may not notice that your weapon is still there, but the icon isn't. To be safe, make sure you do not do anything during exchange, and to be even safer, just show off weapons to people you trust etc.
Dammit though, you people are acting like its such an easy scam to fall for, but won't tell us much about it.
Not everyone that plays SRO goes to SRF, so if he gives out the details I'm sure the kids that are on here will take it and immediately try to use it to see if it works and if it does they will keep doing it, massive scams will take place and no one but the people that have seen the post will know about the scam and how it was done, so why the hell would he tell you step by step how to do it. He's not an attention whore just someone looking out for the community giving forewarning without making it look like a guide "How to scam for dummies".

Once u press f12 while items are being exchanged they disappear from your exchange window while the other player still can see them, so he just gets a cheap weapon that is all.

I agree to some extent. I think that there is a point of knowledge that would benefit the community, but beyond that there will be scamming. However, the scam will get out anyhow. I think it would be nice to know what to look out for such as F12 during exchange, or opening stalls out of town, but they won't give us that.
Though, the problem is that the SRF community is not mature enough to be able to be trusted enough to hear about said bug and not go try and exploit it.
But please, either PM me or post, not a step by step guide, but something more helpful than don't do anything strange.
@Borat2 Thank you for sharing, my guess was right =D.

I just tested this with a guild mate. If you try to trade something and hit F12 the item disappears from the trade window, but you CANNOT continue with the trade. You will get a "Trade cannot be carried out because there is no item to be traded" message. There has to be something else to this.

You did it wrong then I tried it and it worked, it is a duplication bug in fact the duplicate cannot be used or moved.
2. I can't say how it's done, because if I do so, massive scams will be the result. I don't get how letting people be more aware of the scam would increase more scam? How does that work when everybody knows how the scam happens?

Until someone has confirm this "scam" with a ss/video I label this thread full of BS.
If you don't want to believe it you don't have to mr. John_Doe, that's your choice.. but it's a very real scam / bug. I wonder how long it's been in the game though.. if only a few people knew it for a long time it should've stayed that way. too late now.. I got a feeling that I'll be seeing globals of turks wanting to fack peoples mathers or whatever over the next week or so.
