Over the last 1 and a half years ive have seen this forums ups and downs
Good members come and gone

Now As a mod im still new to the moderating Deal
this is my first time moderating a forum this big and i will not screw this chance up

You Attack the whole forum for 1 mods mistake
1 mods to strict
1 mods let somthing go

i must say the current state of the forum is like a medievil town in somewhat the year 1078 (Read a histroy book if your not sure what im talking about)

Someone is rich ingame you either bow down to there feet or hate them for life
Flame someone for botting in game
Point fingers at random people saying there a witch Or in this case botter

But the rules clearly state you must admit to botting to be banned form the forum


Now Since Blackfox OR Spirtpower Have Not Admitted to this So This make them obeying the rules . he/shet talk about botting. We have had no seroius complaints about his/her posting he/she maybe annoying as Ryoko Said but he/she is harmless

Then just recently when he posted his paypal and edited everything cept the total just so the kiddies could drool over his 2.5k....I almost called an outreach program on his behalf.

You must not have been around. Before there was no bot accusations, everyone got along. Someone killed a unique? Regardless of their level, just about everyone would be saying "congrats." Nowadays everyone is like "oh big deal, you're 6x+ leave tg alone for low levels!" Then there's the countless bot bot bot bot bot bot bot bot bot topics. I might have more to add to this topic later, but I woke up 10 minutes ago, and might say something a way I don't want to say it.

How to Give Effective Criticisms:

A. Identify the behavior that you want to criticize. Direct your criticism at the action, not the person. When you criticize a a person, then you are attacking their sense of identity. This is highly likely to provoke a fight.

B. Make criticisms specific. Not "You always abuse your power and are a bad mod!" but "You locked a good thread xyz and I thought it'd be more appropiate to clean out the thread an give warnings instead."

C. Be sure the behavior you're criticizing can be changed and fixed. For instance, don't criticize a person because they are a Turk or because someone is stronger and/or have more gold and/or better gears than you lol. If everyone would accept the fact that there are things in life they have no control over, then this thread will be only 2 or 3 pages long and not about 10 pages about single person.

D. Use "we" to stress that you want to work out the problems together, rather than making threats.

E. Make sure the other person understands the reason for your criticism.

F. Don't set a tone of anger, contempt, or sarcasm. They are counterproductive. For example:



This is an example. When you make a provocative post similar to that, you present yourself as an uneducated person and a bigot. As a result, people will not take you seriously and will shrug you off. This is the kind of immaturity from the D2U jealousy camp that is the reason why SRF is going downhill. If you criticize/flame a person, you do not need to mention it again and again over and over again in other threads for the same accusation. People on this forum are not stupid. You do not need to rehash how D2U is a hacker over and over like they are deaf. I personally do not believe that D2U can hack, as there has been no evidence to suggest otherwise. Anyone can create an account on another server and global "Join my guild or I will hack you", but does this mean they can hack?


Like Karlos said, when someone is better off, people tend envy them or hate them. This applies in real life and in the game. No matter how a few people in this thread deny they are jealous of D2U, the fact of the matter is that if D2U doesn't have SoSun gears and money, none of this D2U-bashing will occur. I'm sure everyone will agree with that. This bring us to HuyFong. HuyFong was a good person. It was a sad day for SRF when little kids get jealous and the accusations against HuyFong drove him away. You kids successfuly drove HuyFong off, but you will not succeed driving off D2U no matter how hard you try. As GrimJaw said, you are not up to her level to drive her away. She will laugh at you and make you look like idiots because this is nothing new to her and it has been happening since 2006. She will make you look bad the more you flame her. You can put it in your sigs accusing her of things, but this is leading nowhere and will make you look immature to an impartial person.

I have to agree Key-J. The only thing all the flames/accusations and whatnot do is bring down the quality of the forum. I like the idea of having a thread like this where people can voice their opinions about the mod team (good or bad) without fear of being punished. Sometimes that is needed.

It's kind of sad how people have problems with the mod team, but when they are given the chance to openly rant about it, the entire thread turns into a "let's bash Blackfox/Death2U" thread.

Well, i wont threat everyone with the same respect, ill threat someone however i know him or not, what he does or noot, what he supports and what he does not.
I dont know ryoko, for me hes just a guy ,idc he owns forums, that randomly start supporting d2a in a way.

I see the way the moderating team acts appropriate. This is my view of it. Whenever I asked a mod to explain a lock or another, I got a nice reply.

For example, I was one of the few that asked Key-J why the Ask Black thread was locked. Remember?

The answer was calm and explained the reasons. I understood and agreed with the matter.


There are more examples I will not write here.


But maybe sometimes, the discussions should be left to flow. Mods should remove the flames and not lock the topic, allowing other people to express their way of thinking regarding the specific problem. More opinions should be heard, rather then pushing the problem under the carpet.

Covering up a stain of acid does not make it disappear. It stays there. Always. And in time, the acid will eat through the cover. And so, it gets covered over and over again.

But what if the acid were neutralized? Would there be need to cover it up over and over again?

I am going to have to agree with Dem here. I am not going to sit here and blame Ryoko for leaving and harping on him. That is the reason the forum died though. I know I'm not the oldest member, most popular, or most respected, but I've witnessed the death of this community. I cant think of names, nor do I want to list them. It would just create problems, which I dont think we dont need any more of.

Obviously new mods were needed. I'm not going to be the first or last to say I didnt approve of all the choices.

Dem was RIGHT! But, because he disagreed with a mod, not about a disciplinary action, but a random thing, he gets the hammer. Just this zealous powertrip by cin proves there's something wrong. Also like Dem said, the thing that was posted led partially to SG's hacking.

Thats all I can really say right now. Couldn't be bothered to memorize everyone's responses.
