silkroad is a FACTUAL route in which merchants/traders delivered various materials from china to europe and visa versa. back then constantanople (i think its istanbul now) was the center of europe emipire, the heart of europe much like the uk france germany and spain roles of europe now.

there was no such thing as christianity it was before the time when christianity had become a popular religion and the main religion was catholic/jew

america was certainly not a country to even consider trading, i mean columbus came at like 1500 or something and with this map of the silkroad in the 1st century

sorry but 1. catholic is a sub-section of christianity, 2. the last few emperers of rome where christian, and constantinople was built as the second capital for the roman empire as it was growning larger. even tho constantinople was farther west, (closer to the ppl who where actually invading) the eastern part of rome fell and constantinople continued to thrive. 3. the silkroad started with rome>china, and continued with constantinople>china after the roman empire. therefore christianity WAS around. and was the official religion in the last years of the roman empire, making it VERY popular.

Good point. Since SRO is an MMORPG, a role playing game, when they introduce Islam to the game, Joymax should treat it as a religion. Then chinese and european characters could both become Islamic if they wanted and be able to use Islamic skills and gear. :-D

Go ask Asyamura dear leady (since you're from Venus), but the Santa Sophia in Istambul was catholic before it was muslim.

And it's not about religions, but outerst points of the silkroad. Starting in China (Chinese characters), end point was in Rome (perhaps they reserve a Scythian race to murder the caravans from constanz to Rome) but till now Constantinople stands for european characters. The road went through countries that became later Islamic (look at Samarkand and check the info on youtube before) but also went to the south deep in actual India (Buddhist introduction).

And after this little historical introduction I don't think we have to expect huge changes in January because JM normally posts a long time before on their website.

Just like the Euro chars I wont be making an Islamic one if they are not appealing. I find the euros flat out boring actually. Boring because that cookie cutter European look and ability is in almost every other MMORPG out there. Rogues, Wizards, Warrior, Clerics..you name it. And I notice a lot of people flock to them because of their over powered abilities...But I guess to each his own.... If the Islamic characters are also over powered I suspect more ppl jumping ship yet again..

never understood that :S if euro can beat chinese and islam beats euro... how will chinese beat islam if it is stronger than euro and chinese have trouble beating euro

wrong! hunters are on the bottom of the dps chart against same geared dps classes and squib herders (i think thats it) from warhammer are not very common i hear.

Would never work, unless bots were banned first. Enjoy leveling at the beginning even if bots were gone.
