Oh, i've posted the same but with another source.

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=112900

It says they are not using GG since april of 2007.

I don't know if GG or PB are good solutions... but that explains why the servers are always crowded and why the ban lists didn't say any of the names of the gold bots.

hehe, i think it's anarchyroad online from now on for me. xD

Edit: Ty so much Tasdik

Hello Nprotect GameGuard support team

Today I contact to u trying to find a explanation about the lack of security of Silkroad
Its no a secret for any Silkroad player that the GameGuard is useless , the product is no a real solution for Game security

Today everyone Silkroad player can use Speed hack , Bots , Macros , Game edit , Memory Hack and hack player info without effort

Maybe u like company can tell me what happend with u product , due the product description say prevent each one ilegal activity on list but any kid can joke with this

Dear ,

Thank you for your concern.

Joymax is not using our product, GameGuard.

We have asked to remove the logo which causes confusion to users, and have received that they will replace with other logo.

Thank you.

Best,

Gameguard

WoW really thanks for the faster answer

I dont know if this is possible , maybe u can tell me how many time ago Joymax choose stop the service of GameGuard? , maybe this help to u company to recover some the reputation due Joymax destroy it

Thank you for your concern.
GameGuard contract for JoyMax Silkroad global has been expired since April of 2007.
So if Joymax is still saying that it is our responsibility for not blocking hackings, it is very wrong doing of Joymax.

I hope you can spread words to your co-users that Joymax is not using our solution.

I do appreciate your help.

Best,

GameGuard

interesting

maybe thats why Joymax is making new anti bot "RULES"

GG will be removed and new anit bot thing added for 1 week and latter bots are back cuz they will stop use it like they did with GG. i am thinking this alone :?:

Antihacking systems sucks.
They're so vulnerable.
They should fire all the GMs... more money for them. ^^

hmmmm... I haven't noticed this myself, but maybe it's possible Joymax is attempting to continue using Gameguard without a license. If so, then the client would update itself, but when Gameguard tries to connect, it would fail. I assume in that case, the client would still connect to Joymax with a disconnected Gameguard.

Last I checked, GG hasn't been updated since 2006. Just because you see it on the "update" bar doesn't mean it's been actually updated.

Most likely, the only information that is being updated are other files in the folder. When the folder is uploaded to production, everything in it is seen as "updated". Sounds like version control to me.

gameguard can disable services. just like if you hav dl'd a program with a trial you can try to bypass it but the service can be stopped.

jm are probably updating it but getting no service

I do not see a point in updating something that you have not turned on for almost 3-4 years.

Which is why I believe it's the version control theory since an entire folder is commented as "updated" once pushed to a production server.

Yes but usually version control systems will update the version on the server with new content IF the content actually changed. If the files being "checked in" have not changed, no need for the version control system to increment the version number and make that 'new version' available to users.

If it's a version control system in the works, I'd assume Joymax is doing something to update the gameguard files, even if they're not official updates from the company that makes it.

the MAJOR difference between SRO and WoW is that people pay monthly for it. sro is a free game so they dont have to listen to you, also they are never gonna stop people bots, maybe gold bots, but NEVER ppl bots, id ont get why you guys still dont understand that.

they want money thats all. they dont give a flying **** about their players in their game being legit it or not, all they care about is how much money each month they are gaining. THATS IT. and since they make more money off of ppl bots then legits, i doubt they will get rid of them and kill all their profits.

so all this bitching about GG and bots and Joymax isnt gonna do anything, either get use to the bots or play a new game its as simple as that.

but i will admit its funny as hell that they havnt been using GG, lol just making it look like they are.

no sorry not all bots buy premium ticket i can assure you that over half of any server u look at now are chars without premiums that are botting.

botting can allow people to not buy premium ticket because they can level just as fast so they dont buy premium too.
also multiclienting with loads of bots would require a lot of money to do well. and im sure there is more chance is 10 people paying $10 then 1 guy paying $100 per month for a game.

and how is that a difference you have to pay for wow? have u tried connecting to sro? you almost MUST hav to hav a premium to even see the server. so its almost the same

the difference is you dont have to pay to play sro, with wow you DO. and yes not every botter has premium, but most have alteast some sort of silk. so either way u look at it, banning all the ppl bots would still kill the shit out of their profits, which if you know anything about this world you will know that no company wants to cut down their profits.

gold bots are the only bots that ruin the game.

well i dont have a premium and i still play sro, omg how is that possible cuz according to u i MUST have one.

you dont have to hav one but it is realisicly a very low chance of getting a slot.

if gold bots got banned then im pretty sure that player bots would be gone before long as i expect the coding of the bots is originated from gold bot bots.
