I'll become worried when I go on a website and see a download box asking
me if i wanna download thisisnotakeylogger.exe, Until then i'm not worried.
Most people lose their account because of stupid things like going to a website that claims free gold on globals.

Thanks for posting this Drew_Benton
I really hope this can be sticky in the hack prevention sticky, even if it especially concerns people who rather have a multiclient or bot.

I'm a programmer, I'm sure I verfified many many times by going tohugh the code and testing, it's not there.
Easiest way to show it is to open up Silkroad, hit ctr + alt + delete. You will see sro_client.exe and its 300+ MB memory usage. If you read up on GameGuard, you will see that it does "Process Cloaking". That is so programmers cant open the process and read/write memory to and from it. If you are still not convinced, you could write yourself your own little AutoIt script / program to read memory from the game and it will work.
The fact my demo / any program you do yourself works further confirms that GG is not running. Heck, move your GameGuard folder in your SRO directory to your dekstop and run SilkRoad and you will still see the logo (because its in the pk2 file) and file come up.
Hope that's enough to convince!

i think JM is going easy with bot programmers. Without GG, they can easily hack the data of image code. So that with a GG bypass, they can write a code for autologin.
ARE JM SUPPORTING BOTS???

I think there is always a way to get around the security, but still, the fact they at least tried to improve security is a good thing!

Actually, bot can do what human can do. To resolve the problem of image code, they dont need to see, to understand what it is, but they only need the answer that they can hack atm without GG. I think each image is coded. The difference between bot and human is the intelligence or the brain. Maybe at login, JM should give a random puzzle so that the bot cant find a specific answer

i was just pointing out how flawed the login style is, what with the having to launch, click start, let load, type in info, get DC start over.
a betetr way would to have two logins.
1. security login, you only need one of these for any game you play, you aquire it from the security company's mainsite, you agree to terms of service etc, your IP is logged, your ISP logged, and notified of your agreement to connecting.
launch the security program, login with this, it checks for updates, and either gets the update or runs as normal.
2. launch the game of choice to play, this brings up the splash screen, of which you input the login info for that particular game, aquired by registering at the games website, the launcher bounces data about and figures if its ok to login, checking your computer is behaving and has the securioty program running, of which denies the use of malicious software to run at the same time, once the launcher has signalled you have logged in succesfully, the start button comes up, and you go.
it then does the nice scenic loading screen, and flies right through to your characters ready and waiting for you to click their naughty bits and play.
just a quick thought, that was ^^

you were born with dipshit written in reverse on your forehead so everytime you looked in the mirror you knew what you are, right?
im saying this as an idea that professional companies, in gaming security, and game development could implement, its just an idea, i wouldn't know how to hack a computer, i can only hack trees, with a fscking chainsaw.
and no-one start on the 'professional' comment and joymax
