Real female players

I'm a guy and I have a female character in sro. I have 2 male and 4 female characters in Guild Wars.

For me, the male characters are someone I might want to be. The female characters are someone I might want to be with.. an adventuring companion of sorts. Sometimes I almost feel like I'm a coach for my girls.

I think female characters in games are better looking than males, both in appearance and movement. The female form is a wonderful thing, even if it's computer generated. Those attention grabbing shapes and curves are undeniable. Females in games generally have idealized figures, too, so it's easy, for me, to prefer them over males.

I won't even pretend to know how a woman thinks. Anytime I've "acted" as a female with others it was in a joking manner. "Does this armor make me look fat?" "Oh, darn, I broke a nail in that last fight."

Seriously though... imagine the world of entertainment and book publishing if there weren't male screen writers and authors who didn't create female characters. Those industries have plenty of men who 'get into' the female mind and create memorable fictional characters that are well known and loved without compromising their masculinity.

In game I accept the fact that probably 70-80% (not sure of the actual stats) of female characters have male 'operators.' If I party up with someone, I treat them as gender neutral. If they become a friend, then the subject of gender can come out whenever it may. If someone starts 'acting weird' towards one of my girls, I set them straight real fast.

So if someone starts bugging your lovely warrior, just ask him, "Are you aware that 70-80% of female characters are played by men?" :shock:

Though I have to admit I tend to make the mistake of assuming everyone is the gender of the character they're playing.

I'm a girl. I have 2 female SRO chars, 2 female Lineage 2 chars, 3 female Guild Wars chars. And one male Ranger char lol. In Tony Hawk's Underground there are female characters available, but I don't like those, so I just play as a guy.

However, if there are only male characters available, I don't really mind it. In 99% of the games I played I played as a guy, I'm used to it and I can't really be assed lol. But if I do have the choice, I prefer a female character.

i'm a guy, but my char Sleep_Flying is a female char. i choose her because she is the only model in the game that can fly around instead of running around with your legs, which i think is kinda cool.

and with this char. i would like to use a bow, and when i was creating the char. i clicked male, garment and bow.....and it looks kinda weird, so i just switched it to a girl with a bow flying around, and also why i call her Sleep_Flying

What if the so called girls are in fact guys with high voices or bad mics? Or what if they are so called castrates? or just really young boys b4 puberty sets in? Or a man who had his testicols removed after a car accident? Or a man who needs to take oestrogen pills because otherwise he would look like 'it'? Or you have a transgender headset that changes all masculin voice to females and vice versa?

It makes you thinking doesn't it?

As always on the internet: you can only know if someone is a girl/boy if you have personally checked the gender. It's like buying a pet at a pet store: don't believe them till you have verified it yourself
