So, i just bought a level 81 sos chest, full blue, only blue i wasnt happy about was HP at 400. so i buy 4 stamina stones to start with, two 10%'s, two 20%'s. i assimilate durability to 0%, and assimilate parry to 45, from 53 -_-' in 4 stones. i really have the feeling if i go on trying to pimp it, i'll competly screw it up >.< and then its gna be an expensive joke. how do people make such perfect gear ? i always assimilate stuff -_-'

Watch out for the % on stones... 30% means 30% chance of assimilation on other stats. Use 10% Stones.

Some items are just assholes when it comes to alchemy... I made a headgear all +100% blues with 35% or 30% stones, not a single assimilation happened and I used 15+ stones Next day I try to fix int on hands, 3 stones with 10% all 3 assimilated something...(int went 4->1->2->6) Had to fix the whites afterwards & luckily my first stones assimilated whites which were 0%

Well first off my friend, let me tell you this, alchemy is and will always be a form of "gambling". And only the "high-rollers" are the ones that get good results from their "gambling". "High-rollers" are the people who are willing to take the risk, willing to spend a certain amount of money (and in this case-- GOLD), and will usually have a side amount of currency to back themselves up. So in summary, this should give you an idea on the concept of how many people spend their real money.
Now to the second phase of alchemy. Each item has its own "luck". You can keep trying to +3 a piece of clean equipment, a clean weapon, or even a clean jewelry item, but fail in the long run because it won't even go past +2. While you can buy another form of the same item around the same price range. And will be able to get +5 on it no problem, and maybe even for less gold. But be aware, there are circumstances to high plussing. This is what I compare to high-bet poker games. And before you start shouting about the permanent-white attributes of the equipment, weapon, or jewelry item, the + always comes first. "Why", you ask? It's common sense.
Now on to the percentages of the permanent-white attributes. You have the choice of either purchasing these attribute stones or getting them on your own some how. If smart, you will buy the 10% stones and if you are feeling lucky and the equipment, weapon, or jewelry item you just +'ed has bad attributes, you can buy a 20% and above attribute stone just to get some extra POSITIVE assimilation. Like usually when I have an extremely bad piece of equipment, weapon, or jewelry item, I just play my luck and will usually get the permanent durability % higher or something. *Note: Always set a limit of gold you are willing to spend.
Now once you're done toning up your equipment, weapon, or jewelry item, it's time to put some clothes on them. Clothes are what we call "Blues" in-game. Blues usually play a big roll on the character as it adds extra enhancements to one's strength, intelligence, mana, and hit-points. A few blues will also make alchemy better for you. But there are rumors saying that it is harder to + an item that's full blue already, and vice versa, meaning that it's harder to add a blue to an item that's already +'ed. They're just rumors though, luck is different for everyone. Only the stupid people who let alchemy over-whelm themselves push themselves to spending all of their gold and then end up quitting the game.
So all in all, you CAN'T always get the perfect piece of equipment, weapon, or jewelry item because it's all luck. BUT! You may be able to on a different piece of the same type. So when you're one of those people who are blowing about 400 protector elixirs trying to +5 a piece of equipment, you would find out that it wasn't going to be possible if it never went past +3, so you would buy another clean piece. And try it on that. Maybe there's a difference... But gambling is one of the riskiest things in the world. You can lose it all in the game, or you can win it all... for a short amount of time that is...
