Nothing personal but I think doing 1* is a total failure on JM's side and is totally lame.

I think the point of 1* was to let the low levels see what jobbing is, have some change from grinding and even make a little gold to buy items.
With the community we have in-game, it turned into the lamest job ever. People who have high level characters just set a bot to trade from one town to another at level 30. They leave it on for days and you simply can't touch it with all the protection JM added (other than the trader + thief trick).
They should have made it so the protection is just from people 10+ levels above you or lasts only for X trades.

A horse with low HP but faster walking speed will never provide any kind of service to high levels as the NPCs thieves will just one hit it. Have you ever tried having a 2* with a horse at 90? Ouch. It'll make jobbing even more of a dead-zone in SRO.

Its faster to ride it. Notice, if you trace someone riding a lv60 horse and your riding a lv60 horse they will eventually get far ahead of you. (Assuming that they don't stop at all, and maintain steady motion). For whatever reason your horse will pause every now and then, and take like 1/2 second to get moving. Pretty insignificant, but it adds up.

same speed, the trace thing only shows that because trace is buggy... it does that even if you trace someone on normal horse or walking

on the trace you only can get so far ahead then you automatically stop so the tracer can catch up to you
