I know its common practice now that people add lvl 1 characters to their party when power-leveling/farming in order to lower the average lvl of the party in order to get more xp/sp out of party mobs. Does it make any difference how low the avg level of the party is as long as its lower than the monster you are grinding on? or does the lower the lvl maximize the bonus? Also, does the party being completely full (8/8) make any difference?

And I know the academy buff increases the % of experience you obtain, but does it to the same for skill points? Could be a problem since when farming you want to minimize your leveling. Anyone help? Thanks!

10 levels below the monster's level gives the maximum exp/sp.

as long as the avg pt level is below (or equal? <<not sure) then you get 2x the exp/sp from a pt mob. being 1 lvl under and being 50 levels under result in the same 2x experience from a pt mob.

and i believe there is like a 20% bonus for full pt in exp share? don't quote me on this one tho cuz i'm not sure about it.

Actually I think it matters how low the noob is. When boyfriend was powerfarming his low level at the penons, he always got one random noob with him for free. The average pt level always was under 54, but he got just a little more exp if the noob was lower level (like more exp if the average pt level was 50 than if it was 53). And from my own experience, you still get the double exp when the average pt lvl = mob lvl.

Hope I could explain.

No.
best exp formula is:
avg pt as close to mob lv as possible, never higher
char getting exp 10-11lvls lower than the mob

Incorrect!!

The more lv.1 noobs, the more exp / sp you get! ...
It was tested by me, million times...

Here is a tip for you chinese guys: When you're grinding, make a Exp/Item Share group, and invite lv.1 noob into it... You'll grind on party mobs, but you will grind much faster.

Yes. I've tested the lv 1 noob theory too :)

As long as the party s lower than the mob. You have to add all the levels up and divide by number of players, lower than the mob you get 2x xp.

Its not only 2x XP/SP ... Its the lower the average number is, the bigger XP/SP you get.

+1

Even if your average pt lv is below the the mobs where are are plving adding a low lvl. 1-10 will always give you more exp. 2 lvl. 1 will give a little more exp. but one should do it.

is phix good enough?

the academy accumulated buff also hightens the sp gained per mob, and next time to find out something like this just kill a mob be4 you do the academy buff and one after then you can see it with your own eyes ^^
