Ok Guys, thr is a alchemy bug like when u use 5%-10% stones it will assimilate your stats about 80% of the time... this has happened to alot of ppl on xian, like tryin to make crit. better puts their phy. 80%->0%.. i was tryin to make my staffs mag. refornce better, but my mag. went 80%-0%.. so i suggest dont use 5% or 10% stones.. use 20% stones

its not 100% guarantee but I have notice that 10% stones have a MUCH higher chance of assimilating something -,-

Not only do 10% stones seem to assimilate more often, I believe that they fail much more often as well.

What exactly is the bug?
Are they simply using 5% or 10% chance stones and then getting assimilations? or what?
Cus that woudln't be a bug >.>, just bad luck.
Unless the % is actually just higher then that really.

I've noticed that too... I used just one 5% stone and BOOM! The STR stat on my shield went from 6 -> 1. It happened for my weapon's magic reinforce too on a 10% stone. It might be a huge coincidence, but even 30%s don't fail that much. (A 30% stone happened to assimilate a stat positively, a very important one too. BR went from 10 to 16.)

I did it. I'm the new hired Programmer for Joymax. I did it so you losers can spend more money on golds and tickets etc. Hey in current economy state, I got kids and a wife to feed. So it's either I'm going down or you going down and I could care less about you going down.

Unless the % is actually just higher then that really. Every stone assimilates. I thought the item I was doing alchemy one was unlucky but it isn't only that one. Other items do the same thing.

Joymax didn't do anything wrong? People think that 5% and 10% stones seem to assimilate more because they expect them not to assimilate due to their low percents. Think about it. Which would you expect to assimilate something: a 35% stone or a 5% stone? The 35% stone because it's percent is higher. Lower expectation of a 5% stone to assimilate means that when it does, you're more shocked, thus you remember it more.

You obviously haven't done much alchemy or have not done it lately and experienced what the posters in this thread have. Something IS wrong with 5 and 10% stones, I used 20 10% stones on a shield and EVERY single one assimilated another stat. EVERY ONE. Tried a few on some gear then on a few other weapons, same results. I had 1 10% that didn't assim. This was a few days ago.
Then yesterday I tried a few 10% stones, had same results except not so harsh.. I'd say 3/4 of them assimilated.
Compare this to alchemy prior to this, something is completely different, and thus wrong.
(20 and 30 seem to assim with the same probability as "before" these problems surfaced, nothing appears to be wrong with them.)

It seems to me that 30% stones are much much more likely to work. I often have 10 5-10% stones fail in a row, only to use 1 or 2 30's for 100% blue.

I must admit i've been noticing it too. I was fixing up a cleric rod earlier and 2 10% stones Assimilated my mag attack and dura, whereas the next 5/6 stones i used that were all 30% stones didnt assimilate once.

Been working on it for the past few months, and never have I seen any such results as the posters here. Sorry they all have bad luck, but it's not Joymax's fault. Buy a Premium+, alchemy success is increased like 10% with that.

Well if we are here to flex alchemy muscles I too have a +5 FB Pro set (FB = 100% stats) +7 sword and shield. Br 18, no stats under 40%. Euro: +5 FB set, +5 1h/2h/rod/+7 shield. Nice stats on all. All final tier. All that was "alchemized" before this week. Again, like stated several times, this alchemy problem started after last week or the week before inspection (not sure which). The alchemy you've done in the past is irrelevant, there is a problem with alchemy right now and there are plenty of people that have been doing alchemy a VERY long time (myself included) that can confidently say, something is different. 20 10% stones assimilated stats. That's not coincidence. EDIT: Here ya go. First 10% stone I got to work after writing the above post produced the following results on this ring with only 3 stats available for assim.

I really hate assimilation in Silkroad.
It seens that is made to punish players.
We already have to find the right stone, grind for enought elements, have a very low success rate... and in the end it can assimilate another good stats to 0% ... sux.
Ok, sometimes assimilation helps.. but is rare... often is for make another stats bad.
Assimilation should be very rare, but always a "good" thing, even if was a very little benefict.. but always for better.

well, i dont get why everyones complaining really. if the lower % stones are causing issues, and people tend to sell the high % stones for less because of the higher% then just buy the higher percent and dont complain. win win.
