I was just talking to my uni mates and we came up with something quite amazing. sBot charges 7$ a month for its subscription. Approx, it's the best bot out there right now, we estimated that about 1000 users per server probably use it. With 37 servers, that's about $200,000 a month for that company.

Why doesn't JM just implement it's own official bot and get it over with. We all know how much they love $$$. Why not make their own bot, give it a subscription and make SRO optional as F2P or P2P. Anyone know why JM doesn't just do this? Or has anyone suggested it to the official forum? I mean they could charge just 10$ for it, they would probably make around 200-300k a month if they just implemented their own bot. It's not like they're gonna ever ban the rest of them. If they made their own, it would be official, so probably a lot of botters would switch and use theirs.

I know their original stance was no cheating, but anyone over the age of 5 could log on once and figure out that they have little to no control over the botting issue. I'm quite surprised that they haven't jumped on this cash cow yet.

BTW don't take this as me promoting botting, I'm just srsly thinking, why haven't JM tried this new cash cow. My thought is that they might already get some of the profits from the bot companies. I mean, it wouldn't be that hard to trace the bot distributors and sue them for violation and copyrights charges putting them out of business. We all know they keep gold bots on there to artificially crowd the server so the highly addicted players will buy premiums.

:?
I stop reading right there.
do you honestly think that any MMO company would sell a tool for auto lvling. if there was such a tool then it would be part of the game system itself. so every1 could use it free of charge for XXX hrs each day...still would be completely pointless since all that needs to be done is change the XP/SP rate

JM already selling there own "bot" the pick up pet auto collects gold/items for you.

haha i figured. Not gonna stop me from having discussions though. I mean just think about the money the would make even more per year. I kinda wish I was good at programming and came up with the bot idea... They must be LOADED... hell i wouldn't have to take out a loan for college... or even go to college...

I think 200,000$ a month is peanuts compared to what joymax earns...

Hmm I thought their yearly income was like $20 million. It's not as much, but still a good profit size. About 2.4 mil a year. I mean, if someone offered me 200k a month i'd take it >_>.

Just because a game has a auto-lvling tool doesn't mean the tool has to be free. It could be like sbot now. You can download it, but from what i've heard, you need some kind of code to make it work, which would mean you have to pay a monthly fee. Joymax could make something similar, make it only usable for premium players. The game would still be F2P for normal players, but those with money could use the premium to lvl.

Another reason I came up with JM hasn't done it yet is because they're too effing stupid >_>. They probably can't figure out a way to make it crackproof so ppl can't just use the bot for free. Knowing them, that's probably the issue. I guess they could have actual admins again and make sure the only players are the one with a Premium icon next to their name or something verifying that they are paid subscribers.

Hmm what do you guys think, if JM ended up implementing a system like this, what would that do to the ideals of a legit?!? o_O... maybe i should've posted this in my legit topic... :banghead:

I am so sure that Joymax actually makes deal's with sbot/goldbot companies. You think Joymax wouldn't ban those bots if they were not making profit from them?

And don' tell me they crowd up the server for premium. Joymax could clog up the server themselves without cleintless/client.

Hmm true, that would make sense. If you want something to get attention and used, make it taboo. People will usually try something out if they know they shouldn't.

I'd be damn rich if i just make a mmorpg just like Joymax
then 'accidentally' create a bot for it

they are forcing people to buy lvl enhancers.. why care about a bot?
the longer they linger at lvls below the cap, the more they will buy in that time, capped players wont buy much unless they want to farm for the next cap.

a bot would only speed up the process

What's so shocking about an MMO making a bot? cSRO provides a bot to it's players...

if they sell bot
1. users will stop buying gold ticket and grab pet => less money
2. their reputation is destroy for promoting such a tool for lazy ppl
3. no one wants to play a game when he don't actually play. In another word, if someone wants to bot his ass off just to get to lvl 100 and he can only enjoy the game at lvl 90-100, JM can simply sell users an account lvl 90 FF for $200, there is no need to force ppl to start at lvl 1, also deleted maps and mobs lvl 1-90 so the goldbots can invade the Chin Tomb

btw: how do you know, that JM isn't behind the bot companies or has at least some minority stakes in them?

Try to play MU online 99999X exp rate, full items full blue max + they sell in item mall. Then conclude the survivability of the server.

Oh, talk about this, i think about smt. JM work with a gold and bot company. But in the bot bans, they don't ban the bots of these companies, but only bots of other companies to eliminate their concurrents, and to destroy the business of other companies.
