What was your first character that you made in SRO? And was it messed up because you weren't familiar with the game?
Mine was a blader but I added more int than str because I didn't know how it worked, but I did some seriously low damage and got ksed like crazy. I was a trader, thief, and a hunter at lvl 24 in 2005, around the time iSRO came out.

was a lvl 20 something glaiver back in 2007. I didnt get the concept about farming so my char was incredibly weak and I was only good for being merchant

lvl 14 char.. i think it was 70:70, or maybe the balances were messed up. I had like 11 cold, 11 fire, 9 light, 7 heuksal, 11 bow, 12 blade...But i didnt care about the stats, i thought the normal attacking animations w/ glaive was awesome XD (ex-runescape player )
I'd post a pic of my char i deleted isro :\.

The very first char i had, i got it to lvl 37 i think.
It was a Bow char on Xian server. I added str and int so that i used the same amount of mp potions as hp potions. That way i saved some money
I didn't really get the concept of farming either so i had an incredibly low amount of sp.
I used cold as imbue and fire and light for buff and speed. I also upgraded force and rescued EVERYBODY that i came by. By that time there where nearly no bots and therefore they all said "thanks for ress" and that made my feel good looool
After some months of playing i realized that this wasn't how the game was meant to be.

Than you must be the only newbie to have a perfect character.
I started a pure INT heuksal/fire when Oasis was a "new" server. Some friends moved from Troy to Oasis in march '06 and they told me that I have to go for a pure INT or pure STR, but no hybrid, so actually I've been helped out a bit. As I always felt attraction towards "wizards" I built a pure INT... and added heuksal and fire masteries as they had the skills with the highest damage. I still play that character

Random hybrid cold bower as main, but also had lightning, force and bicheon for when arrows ran out lol. After a quit, i came back when euro came out, i made a bard and noticed how much xtra mp i had, so to balance it out i went full str battle bard.

My first bower was pure str, just because I thought more str = more hp = less dying. I didnt figure out how bow skills worked till lvl6 ... and then it took me till lvl15 till i figured out what an imbue was ... so i used a lvl1 cold imbue on a tiger and i saw that i did a bit more damage, and the tiger got slow, so i figured i hit the jackpot :p
Also I always only took 250 arrows with me (because that seemed a large number to me), so I was returning to town very often...

Warrior on dual axe with no sub-mastery xD cause I didn't knew nothing about sub-mastery. That was right after Euro update. And I got it to 40ish then started a wizard.

a 1:1 hybrid with every FORCE masterie but no weap mastery, cuz i just couldnt decide which weapon to take, i allways carried 1 of every kind of weapon with me and switched them while grinding
Somewhen i heard that 1:1 is crap, but right after that i read something about 2:1 int hybrid, which i was going to take, but when i read something else about 2:1 beeing crap too, i just tried something else and ended up as one of the first 5:1 int hybrid spears on my server (maybe the first one who got past 32 lol). oh yea, good ol' times

Blader 2:1 to 20 and then pure str . With almost all masteries but mainly cold, ice blader . Made it to 65 at 70cap, and then I saw I can tank anything but kill nothing .
