I have an american express gift card with 30$. I login, hit silk charge, select paypal option, type in all the correct info, but when I hit confirm order it's not allowing me to charge the silk because the card is not valid or whatever. I looked up on americanexpress.com that I have 30$ on the card and its status is 'ACTIVE'. Any ideas why it's not working? And now paypal took away 1$ from it so I don't think I can get a premium plus anymore..

I did some research..I guess paypal takes away a dollar to make sure its a real card, and they are suppose to refund it back after a few days. So maybe after it gets refunded they will recognize the card as valid and I will be able to charge my silk???

I dont think paypal is the problem cause its already registered on paypal, im guessing joymax just doesn't like pre paids anymore.

Joymax has prepaid cards adn they are awesome. This is the only way to buy silk anymore, cause its premium too. They are available at Blockbuster.

Its not the only way, but I think its the best way with no hassles. You buy the card, you apply it and you have your silk. Doesnt matter what char you have it on, what account, you can pass the items around or sell them.

the issue is that the billing isn't in the USA, it won't work. PayPal takes a dollar for each failed transaction and it will return to you in 7 days. Instead of using anAmerican Express, use Visa next time. You don't need to call or go online to register. Just put in your billing info and and the card info and it will go straight through and works with any country.

i've bought silk with an Amex giftcard before.... maybe they updated it. You can't buy premium silk because the AMEX giftcard works ONLY for the U.S. and premium silk isn't USD
