I know flying mounts wouldn't fit with the time period or age that Silkroad is based off of. But have you ever thought about it? Whats your thought.

¤-Where would it move ?
¤-Will it pass over rivers ?
¤-Can it cross seas ?
¤-How much hp does it has or what hp formula will it use ?
¤-How fast is it or what speed formula will it use ?
¤-Can it enter towns in flying mode ?
¤-How is it supposed to get hit while flying ?

¤-There are plenty of variables and it seems too much programming for joymax for them to care about it and it is unluckly that they will add that after +5 years .

I agree Joymax would never add it. I was just doing a poll to see what others thought about the idea.

I was thinking similar to this. I would say that the mounts would have a fixed amount of hp. Will say like 6500. And yes you can get hit on the mount from ranged attacks when flying, aswell as melee attacks if close enough to the mob. I agree the flying speed should be like 14m or 14.5m. And when on the ground 10.5m

But there would be alot more programming.

Silkroad does not have a vertical component. We cant jump, we cant fall, we cant fly, wont happen.

I was thinking more like having an invisible wall surrounding towns that won't allow you to fly past. Therefore you would have to land and dismount to enter towns.

Nah no flying mounts....I can't really see it in SRO this late in the game..... It would be a sad attempt to copy that lame game called WoW. I say incorporate a permanent mount system since we already have mounts...You earn a pet horse or tiger and train it...a growth pet that is a mount....the more you train your mount the more it's speed will increase..

Number one reason it won't happen = Have you ever tried to steer with your arrow buttons? No! Because it's such an unsmooth game. Won't ever work!

Its matter of opinion...my opinion...which isn't a fact.....And FYI..popularity doesn't mean something is cool as much as we like to think so.....There are even millions more people that subscribe to a practice, belief, or a way of doing things that you yourself find to be lame....And it wouldn't make you wrong (or right) to think so. So don't quote me the number of WoW subscribers as if it means much of anything

Well it would be nice to have some sort of permanent mount. Horses are good and all but once they die, there gone. Which leaves you to buy more. And buying mounts for 1 silk disappear once killed. It would be cool to have mounts like the ones you buy but be able to permanently have them. I'd put a rather high lvl restriction on them though. Like 50 or somewhere around there. Just so you don't have a bunch of new players and lower lvls running around on fast mounts.

Lol i knew someone would comment that. To new players is does. Once your lvl 80 or 90 it looks like 50 isn't a high level but it sure does take a hell of a while to get there if you grind. I said 50 because it would seem like a good lvl to work up to and not so much of a "high" lvl.

lol flying mounts in SRO.

First, not all the maps in SRO is connected, and you have to teleport to get from Jangan to Downhang which means it is impossible to fly over to these places, Same goes for Hotan to Rocky Mountains or what ever the name is.

So no, flying mounts would not work in SRO, and as someone said above SRO do not have a vertical component, so even if all the maps were connected it would not work.
