Why the hell is Joymax trying to appease us with fake dates and lies? Do they just try to hype us so we continue to play thier game? I mean seriously, if you backtrack, they are almost always late. Very annoying, you can no longer actually look forward to an announcement due to the fact that it won't happen. I really don't think a company can be that inaccurate almost everytime, their obvious strategy sucks.

Current list of lies: (I hope most of these can be crossed out after this 4 hour update)

-The Viets getting banned.

-Red Sea.

-Cheering event.

-Babel Compensation event.

-?????? D/C error fixing.

-Item that was supposed to give 5% extra damage and def, along with double exp.

Past:

-Guild renovation, very late.

-Selecting new silk assistants.

-Telling us to expect larger and more frequent banned for botting lists, instead, they stopped banning all together.

-90% of everything else, also very late.

Such is the problem with having a huge company. Many fires to put out and few fire fighters lol.

Geez, so freaking whiny.

Red Sea and Cheering Event: They had a big problem on Sunday, so bad they had to roll back babel twenty minutes. If there's a rollback, it means shit is serious and they need to get it fixed ASAP before worrying about other stuff.

Also, at the competition, Crayon told us that the GNGWC kind of pushed things back for them since they needed to have the competition stuff ready.

The Premium Ticket: we were talking about this on the bus with Gargamel. They haven't been able to decide on a price yet so they don't want to release until they figure out the best possible price.

New SAs: They might be selecting more in the near future. I know nightv and I talked about possibly becoming one.

Guild Renovation: better it works right than require more server time and problems?

Botters: they are always banning botters, but they almost see no point in putting out a list because no one is ever satisfied with it. I did suggest that they put every since 60+ they ban on the list since those names are much more recognizable.

Bottom-line: It's a free game that you choose to spend money on. If you don't like the service, stop spending money. Joymax is doing their best to update and keep things moving, but keep in mind they have a ton of things to do. There are 6 versions of sro (tSRO, kSRO, iSRO, cSRO, jSRO, vSRO) and all are at different points as far as updates go. Another thing is, everything needs to be translated and doublechecked for errors (things like glavie, lol, Crayon did say the company who did the original translation and swear filter won't be working on the game anymore). Also, they are working on FOS (aka Europe) at the moment as well. Give them a break and appreciate what you do have rather than whining about what you don't have.

One last thing: GM Crayon reads these forums, just another thing i found out at the competition.

cuchulainn that's very understandable, but not the point. If they know that they have work in other servers, or have the GNGWC to worry about. Why bother announcing all these new updates? It's to get us excited, so we keep interest in thier game (Not saying SRO is a bad game, I love it). They just need to calm down with the new announcement and events, and work out the current issues.

Even when I was a silk assistant, everything went by so slow, nothing seemed to meet the announced date. You don't even want to know how many times we were lied to in those forums.

Well it may seem "bad", but when anything ever seems "bad", jsut compare it to the game DNF("Duke Nukem Forever") or as most commenly known "Did Not Finish". We are talking about a game that is over 9 years late.

Then you can look at Microsoft, other gaming companies, etc... It's just a sad thing that happens, bad PR departments. Things do go wrong though, so it's one of those things you have to be tolerant of haha, even if it is depressing at times.

Well you certainly like to derail threads like Chaud. Get out of my thread.

Personally, I think you guys are crazy to expect such monumental tasks from Joymax. Each one of you whiny babies want what you want, right now. You all have this little laundry list of demands, expectations not met, deadlines that exist in your own little heads. You are like 5 year olds on Christmas with a tree full of presents, but not those five that you really wanted MOST OF ALL and now Christmas sux and you are gonna go throw yourself in front of a bus.

If you saw a kid act like you are, so ungrateful for what you have already recieved, you would call that kid a brat who needs a stout switch to teach them manners.

How many of you have gone to JSRO? THey have events all the time. They have lots of GMs. They pay for EVERYTHING. WOuld you like that better? They have the level 90 cap, but they pay for ALL wolves, alchemy and autopot through item mall. Nothing at all is free except drops (no alchemy tho, none of those items drop). Why is it this way? Because JM isnt the one managing it. They sold that to a private co to do it. That company wants to make money. So they make you pay and pay and pay.

I prefer JM. I honestly believe they are doing the best they can and I am grateful for the beautiful, fun, entertaining game I may play and play well, for free if I choose. You Sir, deserve a stout switch.

I agree too. I had actually planned to get GT, monkey and the works to make a new char on Red Sea when [if] it opens.

Wow nightbloom you're blowing this way out of proportion. All i'm saying is, do not announce anything until you're certain that it can happen on said date. I can't even recall the last time they were on the ball with thier date.

And maybe we see things a little bit differently since i've handed 1000+ USD over to Joymax. But still, this isn't a complaining thread. It's more of a state the obvious thread to kill time.

You willingly spent every dime on this game, it wasnt required of you in order to play. Sure, you spent money. So did I and everyone else. Whenever something new comes out, I buy it, Im a girl.

But you call them LIES in bold blue letters, like JM is trying to personally lull you into a false sense of expectancy. Are you so easily disappointed that two days amounts to a GREAT LIE? A few extra hours, a few extra days? They DO deliver. And usually when they say they will. When they mess up, they compensate even tho they dont have to.

OMG I have a novel approach.

Dear Joymax;
Thanks for everything.
Your dear friend,
Brat

It is a lie, it's how marketing/hype works. You honestly believe that they themselves think the anouncement will happen on thier given date? No, they don't. But they know they must say something, even if it's not true to keep people happy.

But who cares, we all have SOM lvl 64 weapons to worry about. Screw this thread.

Simple solution, Billion. Just quit. If you're as good a player as you were an SA, I don't see what's keeping you here anyway.

Bake one of these days it will be explained why you and I were falling out of our chairs about Billions SA answer. Ohh the irony is right.

You see the confusion happens when I've never heard of BakeMaster before. Yet see him make a random comment regarding me being SA. Still don't know what he's talking about.
Because I know he can't be comparing my playing abilities to being an SA, as I quit the SA role because I felt it was pointless. Has nothing to do with the gameplay. Also, keeping me "here"? Here being SRF, SRO, ?.
I also don't see how irony fits in, inside joke?
