I know that the forum is checked regularly, but certain members have really stepped up their antics recently. When looking at the posts one at a time it doesn't seem that bad, but they are posting their game/player hate in every post. It gets beyond old. Others are just spamming for postcount (like beav). I thought this forums was for helping players.

Look at some of the people posting alot, and look at their posts through their profile, you'll see what I mean. I'm tired of the 'I hate' and the 'you suck' JM/GM/SA/CCF/Bots/you/your build/learn english/you're a 12 year old posts. Enough is enough already.

Can we get a report user/post button? An option based on reputation was also suggested at one point. We need something, this is turning into tavern, but with more members.

If we had user report buttons Ryoko would get way to overwhelmed with complaints.

initially yes, then the problem posters would be gone and he'd get alot less. It would also let him know who the community thinks is a problem.

Granted there would be petty complaints, but something needs to be done (IMO)

On a serious note, it is out of hand. Alot of new forum members are being ran off and the ones that have alot of knowledge of the game no longer bother posting because of all tards that like racking up post count.

Hopefully it gets taken care of.

Well what do you propose we do? We don't have many rules against whats happening.

The problematic ones fully believe it is their right to post about people botting, fraudulent silk charges and other topics.

I've locked these threads before, and I was called 'corrupt'.

Others say, they have a right "because its true".

Some say, they have a right to debate about those topics.

Others think they own Joymax and it is their responsibility to persecute people for it.

We could apply new policies that prohibit accusing people of bot and CCF, and bitching about Joymax.

But half the 'Babelites' would eventually get banned.

Even the SA's are no help in keeping threads clean; they are there as well participating in the bot and CCF drama.

I am aware that banning 5-10 key people would make the problem go away =) But under what grounds? Because I said so?

Should there be a leaniancy? After so many "reports" they get a temp ban? And If they keep it up afterwards they're perm banned?

Sure we do. Its as easy as hitting the NEW TOPIC button. As long as we can keep making email accounts, we can post [-_-].

you suggested the reputation system. At first I was opposed to it, but the idea has grown on me.

Banning a select few might be just the right example to set, perhaps a temporary time out is what is needed to start things off. It also lets people know that they can't trash the nice area that you've created.

As you said this is your space, what you say and do is law here.

Thi is what i propose:

A locked topic that only ryoko can edit, where he will write who is on the list to be banned.
If that person keep saying unappropriate stuffs, he is banned, if he calm down for like 3 weeks, his name is deleted of the list

Ryoko would provide a "proof" that the person said unappropriate comments by providing the topic link, so he isnt accused of "corrupt"

The list would be published in General discussion so everyone can see it

It takes you a lot longer to make another email account than it does for me to add your current one to the ban list.

Yes, for every account, you need a new email address, and confirmation.

Maybe you have 3 address already, but thats a piece o' cake.

Of course, most people cant even get a new IP address and they lose first round.

Some people like are a bit smarter, but never overly challenging.

Reputation system? I would only -rep people for being jerks, not cuz someone said 'so and so bots'. But the rep system is gonna be delayed.

Make a list of what is and is not allowed to be posted if you care that much. If you don't want bot / ccf, don't let certain people post, oh look I got +9 with elevently billion astrals.

1. Community concern about illegal activities harming gameplay.

2. Getting your bow +5 or hitting level 40.

One of those is carebear to the max.

Every other stall has some CCF'ed item. Until joymax fixes it, its here to stay. We dont need to hear about it every thread.

Hell, I almost bought a shield with 6IMMO/6ASTRAL on it, just because the price was nice, and my brother needs a shield. But god forbid I post it and say "Good deal on shield I bought"

Some ppl are just whiners. They cant be something they arent. For some reason, instead of action to make things better, they find solace in shame, blame and regret. I tried to ask for a cooling of the negativity and general bitching, but that is apparently "carebear". LOL I dont think it's carebear, I think it's just a sense of decorum and self respect. Yes, I am a bit arrogant, I know. But I believe that I can help, not by crying, but by making all those botters and CCFers look over their shoulder. Half the night, every night there's global after global from botters complaining about Fly. It's cute and it makes me happy to know that they are afraid.

Maybe Criterion should give up scamming the general server population and focus on the botters. LOL (Dont bother flaming me for that comment, cause Im in Avalon and I know one when I see one.)

What you don't seem to understand is that Ryoko could ban your IP address. I'm a moderator on another Forum and we do that to trolls who try to create multiply email accounts - it is quite simple and quick.

I think people need to remember that Silk Road is a game. I think my 11 year old has more fun playing than some of the people on this board because to him it just a game.

I came to the forum to learn more about the game from (hopefully) people who knew and cared about game play. I learned a lot and have passed it on, and my kids are enjoying the game more (know a little more about scammers and what to look out for). Most peopel are honest and kind and that is great. Some are real complainers.

This place is absolutely out of control.. it needs to be ended.

Its not topics discussing the problems of bot or CCF in general that are bothersome.

Its people turning threads INTO topics about bot or CCF.

The last +9 thread turned into an argument over bot. The thread, its title and contents had nothing to do with botting.

Its the small cracks of "He ccfs." or "He bots" when its nothing to do with the thread.

Just like the GNGC item thread. People started posting about bots once again. Another thread ruined.

Where did people like animE and Kit go? Did you drive them out of the forum already?

No, this forum doesnt promote cheating, hacking or other illegal activities. But we also do not seek out and destroy users either. Raising one individual on the stand doesnt change anything, or make any problems go away. The current problems with Silkroad need to be addressed as a problem on the whole picture, and not crying about one individuals doings.

I also think it would be appropriate to put a hit out for any Anti-GM or Anti-Joymax threads.

There are two options.

1. Dont read negative threads and shut up.

2. Bitch to Ryoko to bann us, and Ryoko decieds what to do. If he banns, fine, there are other boards. If he doesnt, fine again, but you'll whine to him.
