Yes, ingame gold is being duplicated. Three accounts were banned last night. Apparently these accounts were only banned for "holding" the gold, the actual duplications were done on other accounts, which I do believe were banned today.

I spent my entire day at this. I have an absolute migraine, Gargamel didn't get on msn till evening my time, because it was very early morning for gm's. While I was out to dinner this evening the server went down twice.

CHAUD gg for loading a noob and trading items. Man, sometimes u can be such a jerk. I told Gargamel straight off tonight about the bow - and exactly where it could be found. I gather you think you got one over on me. Well, I think all you have managed to do is show how destructive you can be to everyone on this forum.

I received a flurry of concerns from ppl whose pets had large amounts of gold, and whose shops sold all items, even the ones listed at 99 mill and said leave offers etc etc. Gargamel is absolutely aware that a lot of innocent people ended up being involved here. There was not a lot that he could tell me, except that they are working on it and are dedicated to fixing the problem.

I did ask if there would be rollbacks, or if ppl should return the gold they received in their monkey/shop, etc etc. All Gargamel could say at the moment was for ppl to just hang on. They need to decide what they want to do.

From what I understand, Fable began doing all of this today in response to some of it's members being banned. They said that they are angry that they got lifetime bans for gold duping while the bots and ccf'ers remain unharmed. However by the end of the day, they obviously decided to mess with the server a lot because this is causing a huge amount of concern and fear and frustration for players.

All I can ask is this. You guys are involving a lot of innocent people here. It no longer appears to be a vigilante that is doing it for the betterment of the server. All you are seeking to do now is harm people and that's just plain wrong. Stop.

It's not a game to hurt people, I don't care if you know them or not. These are real people, that play sro for a variety of reasons. Stop pretending that these people don't have real feelings and don't matter. I asked you to not hurt the innocent people and you are decidedly not doing that.

By the way CHAUD, the gm's are fixing your "glitch". Fortunately you always talk too much in all chat. So if anybody in your crew wants to know how it got fixed, it's because you were bragging in all chat to everyone in Hotan, and somebody reported the right thing at the right time. GG.

Maybe if they followed their operation policy.

OK but that's in your opinion. The GM's run this game - so it's their opinion that counts in these matters. And as I said to you, perhaps it was an accumulation of bug reports regarding Fable, and the scammed items and brute forcing and ip hacking..... so perhaps (and I'm speculating) when they saw that those Fable members were holding duped gold, perhaps they just thought hmm enough?

Be angry, be annoyed about ccfers and botters walking free - everybody is, it's your right. But please don't hurt innocent people because they just don't deserve it.

Actually it's scaring the crud out of me. xian came back up, I logged on went into storage to sort out all the stuff I was too tired to alchemise/put away/sort out etc last night and I didn't realise some idiot was talking to me in main chat. by the time I realised he was there he was being abusive and swearing at me so I said I didn't see him but there was no chance of any conversation after that sort of talk. Next thing xian goes down again.

After having read all that's happening today I was a little worried that this guy was somehow connected to it all and caused me to be disconnected. (unlikely I know but still, initial reaction.) ..and now it's down again so I can't get on to check everything is ok.

I'm just a lowly mid 30's player and I thoroughly enjoy most aspects of the game but I'm rather disheartened that a few people can ruin things for innocent players. I just want to play and have fun, not have to worry that when I'm stalling someone is using duped gold to buy my things, do I or do i not accept party invitations? can I use exchange or will that cause me to be hacked?

From a new players POV is it worth continuing in the game? I don't know what's what and who to believe anymore. Will I spend months playing only to find myself hacked/cracked/banned/find my squirrel has picked up insane amounts of duped gold? and see it all go down the gurgler? I really hope not.

I don't really know any of you except for reading some posts here. My humble opinion may not count for much, and in the whole scheme of things I'm just one player but I hope you and your friends enjoyed yourselves Chaud. You guys have kinda ruined my day and I'm not even directly affected I really feel for those that are.

Kaijah please don't worry. As I said earlier, the gm's know a lot of people got involved thru no fault of their own. Go ahead and stall your items it's fine I still wouldn't accept trades/party requests, I don't have the full information still to get the hack fixed. I'm hoping to be able to do this in the very near future.

There are a lot of really great people in this game. What's funny, is bitter rivals/enemies have become great friends because when they stop to actually talk to each other, they find a really nice person behind the keyboard instead of the guy yelling "OMG u ks'd my giant u *&)(*&()*"

It's a great game, it's lacking in gm support yes, customer service needs to change, but for what it is it can be very fun.

The way they handle this is very important ^^ otherwise we get max exodus from the game.

Dam, I just dropped $50 into this game. Haha oh well, that's life.

I agree with everything you said there suta:) When I step back and look at things logically I know I'm probably worrying for nothing. (lol but I'm a mum it's in my nature to worry) I have met some wonderful people in game so far and do think it's a great game. I guess I just needed to put out there my thoughts from a low level new players POV. People go around doing these things and forget about the people behind the characters.

I know you didn't and it wasn't aimed at you. It was for the people here who are trying to make her look bad. I haven't met anyone who has done more for this game and the players then suta. Trying to drag her into this is bull. Yes, she is involved by having contact with the GM's. She is an SA and she is doing a dam good job. But she is neither responible for duplicating gold or taking advantage of the situation.

My guild on xian is a bunch RL friends who all discovered SRO around the same time but as they all work for the most part I'm getting ahead of them level wise as I have school hours time to play. (when I should be doing housework! hehe) It's more fun when you're all around the same level and grinding/questing on the same things.

The guy IS a jerk, derserves to get banned, doesnt care about SRO or it's community and Ill be the first in line to hold the door for him on his way out. I wish it were my boot print on his ass instead of JMs.

It's always the biggest whiners that are the least clean. He posts helpful hints in botters' forums. He makes gold from exploits. He had the opportunity to come clean with this exploit to the GMs. He could have given them the heads up. Im told, they even asked him for it BEFORE he got banned. He jeapardizes Suta's position as an SA by giving her items he reciveed as the result of an exploit. Now she is forever tarnished by such an unsavory reltionship that he exploited publically twice. (Dont forget the Tavern issue)

No worries Alfred I was fairly sure it wasn't aimed at me but thought I'd comment just in case. (...you know how sometimes the written word can come across the wrong way? I didn't think my post was like that but wanted to make sure.) And I wholeheartedly agree with you, I've only ever seen Suta trying to help others out even though I'm very new here myself.

no offense to suta and in all honest positive criticism, i think suta needs to stop helpling JM. i assume she has helped JM immensely but it is definitely NOT paying off. JM is getting spoiled with all this spoon feeding.

Nightbloom I know you guys only sort of know Chaud et al from this forum because well, you are on other servers lol. But the Babelites that peruse here have been long acquainted with the goings on in the server, particularly in my union because the two SA's on the server, that being Chameleon and myself, are in the union.

There were many, many instances before this ... but talking out of school just isn't warranted here, from my standpoint. I'm aware of what he tried to do, but it also gave a traceable link from my account to a "noob's" account, that contained duplicated gold.... and as we know the gm's can trace. So frankly mission accomplished, and if I have to take a little heat from people who don't read the posts or have partial information then I guess so be it. But that account that had that gold is banned, and the gold was removed from the server.

Have you heard anything about the others servers like Troy. So all the gold duped were taken out? What about the items they bought it with, how can those be returned to the sellers?

Soz guys... Im at school now, I just sneaked on to SRF n was shocked at what i read.. However im still not 100% sure on the situation. What i understand is that CHAUD and Fabel decided to mess with SRO by Duplicating GOLD and ITEMS on babel? Is this correct?

Sut question. How will this effect Babel and its players? I understand the GMs are doing something about it. Possible Rollback?
