 Post subject: Why do thieves auto-spawn thieves/1* popping

Have been thinking a while about this now, and can't seem to understand the auto-spawn of thieves.
So far i've done a few trades, think i got thief-popped 1/4 of the times (not counting first 2 runs on lvl 20, thought I would be safe in a big high lvl caravan :D )

Anyways, it's annoying as hell to have 3-4 high level thieves lurking around you, and you can't get away, especially when riding a camel. Was lvl 26 on last run, and the thieves they spawned were red, so they have been a lot higher (i think).

Now i haven't played thief before, nor have i participated in higher level thief/trader/hunter battles (since i'm only 2x), but why do thieves spawn npc-thieves? If you would take away that ability, 1* popping would become far less commen, if not disappear?

Of course I'm realistic, and i guess this has been suggested before since it's so obvious (though i couldn't find any topics about it here lately), so this is more a question about 'what use have NPC thieves for thieves'?

Sure, it might help in killing the trader/hunters, but i doubt any of those see (equal) leveled thieves as a threat, since they occur on normal trades as well. Atm i think auto-spawn thieves are too abused for 1* popping than anything else.

thiefs spawn thiefs when they have stolen some goods.

yeah, the theifs have to havesome goods from a traders caravan to sapwn theifs

i supposed to be fixed on future patch called "job patch". if its true what i read about, thief will spawn hunters. npc thiefs will only attack the caravan that spawn them. it said that will be one of the changes among others. i saw a thread about the job patch but i cant find it

If playertheifs do not spawn npc thiefs it would be way too easy for thiefs.

Then you just grab 5 star goods when youre lvl 20, which lay on the ground at tiger area. You return scroll and youre done. xD

thanks for the link :)

and the idea of thieves spawning hunters when they've stolen stuff sounds great to me :D though you would have to make sure that traders won't stick to 1* trades as is said in the thread.. Just make 1* trades for lvl 20-26, 2* for 25-32, 3* etc, or something like that.. and only letting thieves attack traders near their own levels (and hunters as well, in a 5-10 lvl gap orso for both).. will make it a lot more balanced and fun i think/hope.

But guess we will just have to wait for that patch then 8)

got it backwards i think.
if they dont spawn npcs, they cant pop
so most would return with like a 1 or 2* amount of goods which isnt much of a profit

UNLESS more ppl actually do multis, i know a few do. but not enough

HAHAH! Fixed my ass! If it was a "bug" and joymax cared about their customers they could fix it during one of silkroads often inspections without breaking a sweat.

Its mearly a modification that might be implemented in isro a long time from now.
