All the time I see people on sro saying this is no good, that's no good, this sucks, this is boring, I'm tired of this this and that, I'm so bored etc..
All it takes is one keystroke and a movement and click of the mouse to close the game. There is the whole internet and real world available to you.

I used to be like that, I forced myself to play. I would go on sro and be bored and grind my ass off.
Things that must be remembered, it's a game. If it's no fun and you're bored, don't play it. No one is forcing anyone to play, and a very easy way to get completely burnt out of something is to force yourself. I myself have no problem closing the game if I get tired of it for whichever reason. If I don't play for a day, two days, three days, I really don't care. When I play I do it to have fun, not because it's an obligation.

Some people force themselves to play because they have a gold ticket.

Let me ask you this, when you park your car in a paying zone, you pay for one hour and when you come back it's only been 30 minutes, are you going to wait the whole hour to leave? Unlikely. Do you make sure to talk the maximum amount of minutes on your cell phone each month? Of course not. Do you play sro 24 hours a day because the monkey operates on a 24 hour period? Unles you're a botter then you don't. Then why do people force themselves to play 3 hours+ a day for the ticket is beyond me. I've heard of people with tight schedules who barely have enough time as it is, sacrifice 3 hours of their already jam packed day just to play on the golden ticket. Give me a freakin break.

I don't know what the point of this thread was. Guess I just needed to vent about something.

I run on Gold tic and pet, and lately I've been quite busy. I did realise I'm operating on GT but on the other hand, other things are important to me so I said "screw it" and didn't play for the past few days, and even when I did, it'll be just for an hour or two, which is long enough for me.

I play the game, not the other way around.

SRO to me is in a nutshell a way to kill time.

The game requires of the user next to no critical thinking. While I'm killing mobs I think about other more important things. And unlike how TV land depicts how life is, most of life is made up of sitting around...with nothing to do...and just killing time...wether at a friends house or in your own.

I choose to play SRO to fill those bothersome hours that interrupt my sleeping schedule.
