Well, Since we can change the files, And people can start Faking their names into GM's, So its means you can write "GM" In your name wich u changed in this pk2 editor.

So, If you can change your name into GM, You can change the Potion delay? And skill delay? If yea, We're in big trouble.

But here's a warning, Morningdew said, That GM's will start banning for people who using pk2 editor.

In pk2 file, there is a file that doesnt let u use bad words. So if u edit, u dont need to use ALT+255 to write that. All GM, Joymax, administrator are included in that file.

Since I have edited my wolf to an Earth Ghost, I FEEL that it attacks faster, don't now if that's true or not.

They can try and ban people for pk2 editing, but the only fool proof way would be actually spotting someone swearing, or using GM_ in there name. You can scan the files, but what about people with corrupt files? Your files can go corrupt when you shut off your computer with silkroad running. Then they scan you, see that your files arn't exactly the same, and ban you? Doesn't sound right to me. They could actually manually search through your files and look for obvious signs of Pk2 editing, but that would take a VERY long time, and let's face it -> People complain about bots everyday, what is Sro gonna come to when they take ages to ban one pk2 editor instead of a bot?

As for skill delay, and potion delay, I haven't found any of the variables in the Media.pk2 file, and I'm pretty sure only an advanced editor could, besides, when you go so low as to change the Pot delay, and the skill delay, you are just as bad as a botter.

I'm almost 100% sure when you change your pet, it attacks at the same rate as before, it's just the different animations that throw you off, else everyone would switch there pet to something like..a Mole (Fast attacks) or..a Redeyeghost..etc.

I'll do an Md5 check sum of my fileslater, and see if my friends are exactly the same. (both non-pk edited)

with PB SS abilty JM will have even more of a job to do to going thu hundreds upon hundreds of screenshots

same with reports of Edited files it would just kick em off and ban em
but if there file ever become curropted that would chnage it

the only thing those GM_ guys are doing is actually creating a bigger problem now any of the bots will change options.

Because they changed options, they keep their guard down. Now it's easier to catch bot

I've always wondered, if you change your wolf into a ranged mob like a bandit archer, or earth taoist, does it have ranged attacks cuz that would be pretty cheap.

An MD5 is going to be exactly the same between you and your friends as long as none of you have editted. Honestly I think if they want to stop pk2 and softmod and all of that, using md5 is the way to go. It verifies the files are identical, and is used all the time with open-source projects to verify the integrity of downloaded files, so you don't download some altered source code with backdoors written in.

@Karlos: if your SRO files are corrupted you ain't gonna be playing SRO much anyway, since it will most likely have invalid file structure that the game can't load.
