You want to chat live in real time with other SRO players from other servers? Get advice, some help or just maybe just chat without having to give out your AIM and MSN Screen Names?
Errr, log in, if you can't figure out IRC or don't know what it is, don't bother, unless someone else is willing to make a tutorial.

there was a #silkroadforums channel before, it was a while ago now, it started just before pacific opened i think, because i remember being in it while trying to play on pacific.

Had been there quite long, but it was DEAD ... 10 ppl or so, 7 BNCs, 3 afk ... then better chat here.

I used to be on quakenet a lot for IRC, but not lately. IRC is blocked at our corporate firewall so I can't get in if I wanted to, without breaking policy. I'd rather keep my job. When I'm home, I'm busy taking care of my daughter and spending time with my wife so I'm rarely even at the computer. Well have fun in there everyone.

Is this IRC channel run and owned by the SRF admins, or just a user owned thing? That'd be cool if there was a page on silkroadforums.com/irc or something using software similar to WebIRC or CGI:IRC. Then you could browse the forums as usual or click the IRC tab to chat without downloading software. Maybe they'd need more mods or admins for that though, and I'm not sure of the security issues with it. Just an interesting idea.
