what if u do a invisible gate at the exit of all towns

to exit u need to succesfully enter a image code like the one to log in right now

it would stop bots from grinding

it is a gate before the safe zone is, there is space in between safe zone and gate

and the gate is one way, just to exit

doing just about anything wont stop bots, maybe for a few hours until its been programmed around. Even banning them, they will be back with a new char soon enough.

i havnt played runescape in ages but they used to have hundreds of random events that happened to stop bots, after a while bots will be able to get around it, so they just add another random event, after a while you got so many its not even funny... i saw more random events that bots in that game...

Not all bots are clientless. even though someone is botting, that does not mean they are incapable of typing letters and numbers like normal people.

ok. since you dont understand let me give you a hypothetical situation.

botter A is leaving town. image verification pops up so he types it in. the bot leaves town and perhaps the person behind the computer goes AFK for a while.
Botter B is clientless so he doesn't leave town. he eventually gets banned because he's using a clientless bot.

Easiest way to solve the pvp problem, If you are wearing a job suit or cape
then you don't have to enter the code. I'm sure if gold bots were going out of town with capes or job suits on people would kill them.

Well, adding such patches and silly things wont work here.

The bot problem got way out of hand. I used to bot for more than a half year, i know what im talking about. They'll get around everything even tho the ideas are nice. But now i just got annoyed of bots i quit it myself it does start to become risky. I dont wanna have to put my stuff on a newb char just so its not gone when im banned. its annoying. So my resultion was: stop botting, itll do well to you. Along with that youll have less Karma coming round ya xD

The only serious way that would help is if:
Joymax bought iSRO from korea to get full access and wont have to ask to ban people.
After that hire people from all kind of time zones so they can provide a 24/7 service.
Now they just need to start checking regularly, like every hour.
Instead of the bug report make a special thingie where u enter simple informations. this document should be specialized for bots. so people can enter infos on it like:

IGName
Server
Lv range
Small description of what happened or how you figured

that way they wouldnt have to go through millions of bug reports, now after that is done either the gms go check the player out by themselves or they make a special GM robot into that u programm things like:

the way bots pick up their money,
the way they grind (u might not notice but it does look different than a legit player at times)
the run-stop-run-stop thingy.

Now if thats not a nice idea xD i believe this would help alot. Maybe they should put something into the .exe file of sro thats like a record log.
its a log document that records all ur actions including whether u log on with GG or not.. and such things. But they need to study the bot before to know what to programm into this log data.

anyone ever noticed how this forum has image verification when you register yet we still get forum bots? image verification dont do jack... programs can be made to work out what letters are there, even in really complicated image verifications... and the one in silkroad is nowhere near complicated....
