Banned for PK2?

I do have a edited pk2 now, i love it, but some of my guild says u can get banned for this? Is this true?

To make a bold statement:

You can get banned for pk2 editing

Explanation:
You're not allowed to pk2 edit, that is why there is GG (GG = GameGuard)
At the current time GG is disabled. For that reason joymax doesn't even know you are pk2 editing.

As far as pk2 edits as long it is nothing like GM name in game or anything to impersonate GM's you wont be banned for it so w/e I'm tired of people saying OMG WTF BBQHAX I can be banned for .pk2 edits. GameGuard isnt to stop pk edits its to stop in game memory address hacking as in using a program called tSearch and bot running. Hope this clears things up for the last time ^.^

Seriously, they dont even ban if you bot, do you think they're going
to ban if u pk2 edit ?

yea lol XD well buy silk so if they decide to ban for pk2 edit they wont ban you :roll:

you just editing your client not server side =/ and besides just make a dummy account for editting if you too worry ^^ a silk backup and you set.

The only way they could really detect pk2 editing is if you use it to modify something that shows in game, such as the chat filter or name filter. Only way to detect others, is to have something that does a check on exact values, and if there's values that aren't allowed, then bam, ban.
