I've been reading SRF for over a year now. Been active at posting for 5 months or so. Lately I am only seeing FLAMES, Flames and a bit more flames. Yet this is a forum. When people ask something that THEY don't know they get flamed because it might be a silly question.

People.. Please don't forget we once started ALSO. A forum is made to SHARE and ask questions you can't solve yourself. Or to share information with fellow people here. Can't you guys stop flaming at a random topic because YOU don't find it interesting.. If you don't care DON'T POST..

Please, let this community don't go down by flaming and other crap. It is a good community keep it that way.

And if you don't care DON'T POST / Nor flame.

People have to be taught not to post threads for information that you can get by searching or by visiting the official homepage, thats all. And sooner or later they will open usefull threads which wont die after 3 post..

If you haven't noticed... the community on the forums is very much so a reflection of the community ingame. The inquisitive community of the past has made way for a more arrogant community. Tavern was one of those that managed to go down the shitter in almost no time. If you feel like having a laugh, just look at the posts that were made during the first half-year of that forum's life and compare them to today's.

Some of this forum's life will come back with this giant update. People will try to figure out how Euro works and the community [hopefully] will seek and add to whatever knowledge is collected.

If you really want to clean up the forums, add in a spam filter of sorts, or a warning system. A poster that truly isn't worth anybody's time [ie. flames, +1ers, worthless "OMG! There's bots online!!1!" posters], will receive a warning. After 5 warning, bam, temp ban. Warnings are reset every month.

But yeah, this forum is kind've going down the shitter aswell. These days I barely skim the general forum mainly because none of the posts are worth reading.

honestly ive known silkroad fourms for a very long time but i never got into anykind of fourms cause players always want to be deppressed and mean so i never tried untill europe was the first ttopic on everyones mind then i started this fourm

Most of the kids who joined after 07 have been making this place shitty. "Hay guys lets make worthless topics." Finding an topic worth responding to is kind of pointless since it's all the same thing. But what do I know, my ego isn't based off a post count.

I hate it when ppl say this. OK, so you are brand new and you have what you think is a burning question that you just thought of. You come here and the sheer VOLUME of posts must be intimidating.

On a side not, have you USED search lately? It's wild how many completely unrelated threads come up in a search for "Euro Client".

So they come in here and ask their question. You could just answer it.... One answer and they guy is happy, his worry or puzzle is solved. But instead, all you prepubescent wingbats go rushing in there to dogpile him with "WTF NOOOOOOOOOOOB".

So, what did you train him to do? And how are you going to "train" the next new person who has never been here before? You can't. Just answer the question or ignore it and someone else will. Then the thread will get pushed to the next page as more postworthy (*coughSUREcough*) threads such as "OMG I FOUND 1337 LEVEL 16 GEARZ!" stay near the top.


Quit acting like a bunch of 12 year old morons and stay in your OMG, WTF and 1337!11!! threads.

Wouldnt mind him much hes been flaming near every topic posted if it has a question. Think he wants to be a mod, but guys maybe all the problems will be gone when school starts back?

I agree. I understand that search isn't working to it's fullest at the moment, but the people who come post threads such as "OMG I HATE SILKROAD I MIGHT QUIT!!!!" or "Hi i'm new give me an account plz thxxxx" are going to get flamed. There's absolutely NO point in them and I have seen at least fifty of them recently. That's part of the flames, and that's part of why SRF is going down.

I've lurked arund SRF since November of last year, and finally made an account in March/May I think to start posting. Things were so nice when I started, but I've been kinda sad recently, watching the community I love go downhill. If it weren't for several people on these forums i'd be gone already.

I get so tired of seeing flames, and trying to hint at "stfu and make peace, jackasses" in so many threads that the flames get turned towards me. What the heck? Just because you can't take a hint doesn't mean you have to flame every person who posts in a thread for nto agreeing with you.

Anyway. Thats only half of the stuff goin on in my head, so i'll leave it there so I don't end up writing an entire book for you guys.

the only thing that can change this is you, the users. we as mods can't control the attitude here. only the standards, which is becoming increasingly difficult.


if you don't like they way things are going, fix it. if everyone tried to be nicer, we'd all have more fun here.

Yeah. The mods can only do so much. I really miss the old days sometimes

Once the update comes and is around for a while, I'm sure things will die down and go back to normal. People are just too excited.

Try to get everyone to use the Chat more often for simple questions, maybe that would make this forum less cluttered.

Alot of bad words towards the search function ... 9 times out of 10 I find what I need by THINKING about KEY WORDS to search for.

Not anyones fault if you are looking how to change your glaive glow and type GLAIVE instead of PK2+GLAIVE.


And yeah all these people that signed up within the last 2-3 months giving people who been here for a year soo much shit. makes me laugh.

Then you got the people that seem to only make threads with capitalized letters or too many ?'s and !'s, annoyingly amateur. Also the which build should I make for euro, which guild should I join for euro, are euro good in 1 vs, do we have to start as level 1 do we get 3 characters when we start blablabla. Euro is less than 24 hours away and yet I bet we will still get threads about OMG WHICH BUILD ???!. Truth is .. just sit back .. let 90% of the people make a shitty build and learn.

LEARN, thats a word alot of people can't comprehend. Also ... what sorta annoying me .. si the fact 80% of this forum can't make a decent post to save their life. No proper grammar, weird colored words and sentence cut short cause it looks better. Hilarious bout down right hard to read.

It went wrong with the hiring of more mods and the creation of a SRF guild.

The mods seem to have an overbearing sense of arrogance now that they're higher in number, no offense. God-mods are getting their asses kissed while othe rmods seem to get no recognition at all. You don't make the community, you're a PART of it. It's just your job to clean up other people's messes.
Just because certain guilds don't have a particular mod's seal of approval doesn't mean they aren't SRF-based guilds. *ahem*
Stuff like that creates bad blood between the 'all-mighty' and 'lesser' SRF guilds.

People are becoming arrogant, and not only the mods. Your post count guarantees you no safe haven on these forums, and I wish the mods would take a nice look into the banhammer on some of the retards that post on these forums.

I dont think they teach english in school anymore. And all the 1337 speak/pidgin english drives me crazy. I mean the "mah" "teh" "dun" "wad" etc...

The threads get flamed because the people that answer get irritated by seeing the same questions twice each day.
And the people that ask the questions are the little kiddies that don't have the patience to do something themselves for a change.
