 Post subject: Knock Downs ANNOYING?!>!?!?!?!

Arn't Knock downs annoying when you are in a party. Especially when you are a nuker! I always try to tell the warrior to try and stop knock downs, but it always turns out that he/she doesn't speak english. Its really annoying. And it is REALLY REALLY annoying when i use fire blow nuke and it gets knocked down. -_-

Very annoying. Once this warrior knocked down a giant party chicken near Smarkand and he knocked it down too much all the way to the wall and it disappeared like at 20% health. :(

well if warriors couldn't do a knock down then wizards wud just ks steal him all the time and he wud get no drops
i have noticed in euro that a wizard that is not in your party follows you and waits for you too attack a mob then ks it

gives wizard/warlocks some breathing space, nothing about it

its a party, most likely exp share and item share, so i don't see a problem.

yes they are. but without kd in a party, wizards and warlocks will get their ass whoped easily by a party mob. since euro ints deal the most damage in a party, they'll be the primary target of the party mobs.

I think what the OP means is that in a autoshare party the warriors do KD then he loses the MP for his nuke cause he cant use it. In Euro autoshare parties a KD is a bad move cause your nukers cant nuke. I say know your members speak english before you join and any lowe-mid level warrior should know better anyway. Plus a Warrior should be able to taunt the party mob and keep it locked on him, not the nukers. If the nukers cant nuke then whats the point of the party?

yeah in a pt, we usually has 2-3 tankers and they all spam the KD skill and its like almost every second the mob is being KD and im a mage, my nukes always got cancelled, so annoying :P

If the party is set up properly, there's no such thing as kill steal. A euro party should be set up as exp auto share and item auto share. Get the right mix of wizards, warriors, clerics, bards, all working together sharing the experience, and any drops get distributed round robin to party members. If you're all working together, the drops should be shared so it's fair.

As for knockdown, if the warrior is constantly knocking the mob down, the wizard can't get any attacks in, and then why is the wizard even in the party? Might as well just stand there and collect experience, but that would be boring and you'd likely get kicked from the party anyway.

The worst are the warriors who constantly kd, then complain the wiz is not doing anything, particularly when your using spells that have a cool down which is triggered even though you did not get the move off. :banghead:

I don't mind it when warriors kd shit in a party much since it does give breathing room and allows me to pot back some of my mana with the annoying 20second timer.

On the other hand... when I'm jobbing on my Chinese char and some blader or int decides to KD somebody, I do get pissed. Bladers need to understand that chains help out just as much and end up dealing more DOT then their stupid kds.

if im party leader i kick kb/kd warriors. If im not party leader, and leader wont kick, i no longer help that warrior and ill let them die, and i wont use mob control skills to help them. I only go to this extreme after i tell them 3+ times to stop and they repetedly do it.

well i think it depends. . i mean if u have more warriors and rougues who can hit the monster thats knocked down ...then i think its better. . but if its like 1 warrior and 7 wizards. . of course knock down is stupid unless he's trying to save someone

Not exactly, Warrior skills have an "aggressiveness" percentage, they are made not only to deal damage (no matter how low or high it can be) but to draw the mob's attention to themselves. That's why, if the tanker keeps attacking the mob, they will never go to the other members of the party.

That's why i like Dual Axes, their attack don't KD nor KB as far as i've played (lvl 31) they have a more useful thing (imo) which is Stun. Besides, they can draw more mobs attention because they have a small AOE combo.

So i think that KD in party ftl

lol ... if it is shared party, let hero do all the KDs he wants. sit back and watch or start working on another nearby mob. soon he will either learn how to work better as a team, or he will become a really awesome hero.

well it must be annoying i'm not a wiz or anything, but when i play i don't kd i just KB. i'm also a rogue/war i use my 2h to grind alone for like giants and stuff. so in party i just use daggesr.

Funny story:

I was talking to a mate about this and I totally agree knock down is so annoying, especially when you've just zerked, and he said, "yeah knock up sucks".

To which I replied, "yeah it's not so much that, it's more the conversation about 'you've soooo got to take that pill!!!', knock up (pregnancy) being a far cry from that annoying blader move in the game ;)
