I dont want everyone to go on like 'okay this is the usual grump thread about all the lags' but there is something wrong with Pacific itself now with a 256 mb RAM and a God-knows-how-old gfx card the game was playing very smooth until last second before all servers disconnect for the update (and i mean it..the GM was counting mins in front of me)

After the update...it was hell..i could play a Europe char on the 256 machine and have a pretty decent (but of course laggy in city and big fights) gaming experience/grinding (on Hercules)...but on Pacific the chinese char couldnt move 2 meters without lagging..i tried on a 512mb RAM machine with a pretty nice gfx card and same thing..lags lags and some more lags..and its not just Hercules that i compared to Pacific..lots of other servers were working fine too.

Anyone having this or is it just me?

Dude, 256 RAM isn't enough to expect it to play fine, whether it seemed fine before the update or not.

Add a stick or two.

Edit* Read the rest, and 512 should be ok... not sure why you have latency issues.

I dont think the problem is with the computer playing the game i think its with the server i mean i know the difference between computer-caused lags and connection-caused lags with the second one the game itself is working fine but char just stand its ground for like 3 seconds but when he is actually moving the game is working 100% fine.

As a wise micro$oft tech help dude once said: 'the problem is at their end' :P

I just want someone from Pacific to come and confirm my words..and anyone with a possible solution please say..

Yep pacific is lagging LOADS.

My pc spec is::

AMD64 4800+ X2 Dual Core
3GB DDR2 RAM
512Mb Nvidia 7950GT

Running on 24mb Unlimited Broadband.

You lag for 5 seconds, every 2 seconds... PvP is literally impossible.... even just moving is impossible..

#edit# ive now QUIT pacific anyway... it's the most DEAD server ive ever seen.

Love,

tequila

Sin Guild.
