I was just pondering a little thought.

For a pure str char, light in all reality is only taken because of the speed. The mag buffs arnt too powerful for a pure str char, and the parry ratio could easily be overset by the advantages of cold

Now, this is purely focusing on the concept of TEAMWORK. But if any sort of pure str char had the constant use of a bard, would it be justified to not pick light.? Like when i think about it the 80% moving speed in which a bard could grant to the character moving speed would kind of nullify the grass walk series that light provides. Although this would make the loss of phantom walk, could this effectively be made up for by the use of the bards moving speed skill.?

This isnt a practical build i am considering, it was just some contemplations i was thinking about. In a jobbing perspective u would be able to catch up to euros with no problem though i wasnt certain if outrunning a chinese character would be probable or not.

Any ideas u have are welcome to be contributed.

Typhoon is way too expensive to always maintain. Though if someone had a large supply that i guess that is justified. Or if someone is just dam rich.

And you think a bard will be there for you 24/7 just to cast he 80% moving speed buff on you?

Raise a bard to cap *wouldnt take long due to euro lvling speed, maybe 3 months*. Set up another computer, have it trace your char. When ever the buff wears off cast it again. Simple.

What you said makes a lot of sense and, like you said, it all comes down to teamwork. The thing is, I don't think the majority of people have gotten the teamwork idea down. I'm still of the belief that a guild of Chinese and European characters would dominate(assuming that they knew how to use their characters.)

And I don't think that the build you described is that impractical, especially as the cap increases(assuming that the mastery cap will stay at 300.)

A few of my guildmates have seriously considered giving up guard of ice and hard fire protection because my buffs are better. LOL I dunno if that is a good idea, cause I wont ALWAYS be there, but we all do level together at the Generals and I would be there for war so....

Too complicated. I mean im pretty sure you cant have a bard follow you like a monkey. Somethings bound to go wrong

Im glad i have some support. The more i think about it it could be possible, at 85 the light skill for Chinese is only 77%, so the only thing that clouds my mind is phantom walk, i think thats too big of an asset to give away.

ya very true. When high lvl cap is coming we will see massive skill reseting in all chinese players. That is JM's strategy to earn money as most ppl will get that item from item mall rather than doing the curst hearts quest.

Well... If you get the last book of Phantom walk then it pretty much cancels out the bard's speed buff

Level 80 bard at your finger click... i think not.

I like the lightning buffs, they even kind of help for str.

Precisely. This is the biggest problem i have with the 'Euro=teamwork' concept. And it is the same with the other euro builds. what happens when you are alone?

If you actually read my other posts, you would of realized i would have a lvl 80 bard on a computer right next to me. I fail to see when i would be alone. And if u claim "bard die too easy", it isnt hard to get a pure str bard to lvl 80 *power lvling, because you all claim it to be right", then just cast the buff, switch to a shield and put it on trace.

Again i state that this isnt my build, i am not doing it, it was simply an idea for how to get rid of light. Because frankly the game shouldn't of been designed to have light as a must. And i strongly feel that the bard skill is how they have sought to rectify this.

How is a euro meant to catch up to a chinese player? They cant. Sure some euro builds have their "phantom walk", but not all of them do *as to my knowledge, i am not too sure about this*. So on a basic level, this build wouldn't be able to catch up to a chinese, but it would have more of a chance to be able to put up a fight against a euro character due to the extra defensive skillz that the cold buff provide.

At high levels, you are forced to make a choice between those trees.
Give and take.
All trees has its good and bad, I love Snow shield, I love phantom walk, an I love Fire AOE nuke....
But too bad... we can't have it all
Any 2 trees at 150, its your call.

Well, you dont have to worry about making a choice now. Take 4 trees at this cap. Three max trees at 90 cap and so on. Have fun at every cap. Its not like you could predict that you'll still be playing at 150 cap o_0. I definitely wont.
