I see lots of pure ints s/s at the cap wearing garms...why would pure int wear garms? (unless its sun ) It would seem prots or armor would be a abetter choice.... is it because what they are grinding ? or is it b/c of pvp?

Im pure int spear in prot and i do pritty well in pvp.
I can easily kill a lvl 80 pure int in garment on my level 73 farmed bowman.

i see that alot , i just dont get it.

2 opinions from my point of view,

1, for looks

2, cuz they just dont know what to wear and wear what most people are wearing

It's actually cuz alot of int-based players basically got rid of fire completely and need the extra mag def garms give. For the most part they get enough physical defense from Might Guard.

I Wear garms, coz it is much better then armor/Prot.
You run faster, your mag protection is alot better then on armor/prot. And the phy protection isnt as bad.
So all in all, garms is best.

Speed bonus is sweet and important when jobbing too

I think the main reason, would be because they are farming on mage/shamans. Decrease Mp usage and super defence=very low pot usage.

It's easier to run with. =P And for grinding, unless it's on nachals (70-ish) or mages (74?) you probably shouldn't be wearing garments. However, one of my friends is 78 (or 79 or 80...I forgot >.<), and she always grinds on the mages since she can 1 hit kill them, and one hit killing = faster grinding than anything else. Also, party mobs for a pure int = death.

lol? im farming 9 gap for the new skills, wear garm and i can tank like 5 or 6 party generals no sun gear... just +3/4

Fine fine fine, not for everyone...but most. There was some other int on this forum that was complaining about party mobs and such. But fine...

Nonetheless, isn't it easier with armor? (or wouldn't it be easier with armor?)

Im hybrid s/s so I wear protector/armor..switching to FULL protector just to balance my deal out.

of course... but wouldn't be easier to fight shamans with garm? wouldn't it be easier to fight a glavier with armor? it all comes down to personal preference.

and if you are willing to spend tons of gold for grinding and pvping gear.

maybe with mana shield, but without it, I dont think so.

iam switching 2 garm at 69 till lvl 80 b/c cave and talmaka mag mobs

Garment is overpowered. It's the best choice for any build imo.

lol you got me wrond, garms are worn by s/s to survive mag mobs while the shield makes up for the lost def and you have less mp pots concumption and a superior running spped incase your facing yarkan or runnign as a thief

Why would a pure int with garms fight Yarkan? What a one shot kill right there.

heh, try getting a few hits in from a Niya Mage Elite or Giant + other mobs wearing armor madness

I have and Im 69 with 9 gap. You could just fight at SNipers.

Only reason why'd I wear garms at cap is cause they look nice, but being pure int garms would only help in nuke fights or agaisn't mag mobs, agaisn't strs and cough *WARRIORS* your probaly dead before your second nuke is even off.

You have a point, but that's what wizards do(unless they have a warrior sub and wear heavy armor.)

If you are Wizard and you are jobbing just keep a look out. If you can kill your opponent before he hits you you have won.

i only wear garms cuz it looks the best.
