since Joymax obviously allowes botter into SRO society, legit and botters will have to live together forever on SRO...what do you think?

I dont like bots. I dont like any of the disadvantages they bring. But im not gonna whine and moan about it, coz whining and moaning solves nothing.

@ topic starter, you're right, joymax wont do anything to prevent bots.
If we play silkroad, we have to accept that fact.

Anyway my vote goes for the first option. Never botted & never will & i hate bots.

for legits: just dun cry or flame bots in this game, just accept the fact that bot exists and will not get banned. its life and you can see its what we call commerce/ business in this real world. We do hope this game can be "clean" someday....but well, nice try guys..

for botters: when u bot pls remember that there are still some legits in this game, you enjoy advantages to lvl up faster and getting nice drops, so pls turn off your ks mode, and be nice to legits since they are the a few minority in this game that have been contributing so much to try to maintain a nice environement on silkroad.

Of course I don't like bots. But they're not worth to get all worked up about. It's not like they go away if I start swearing and threatening them (They're AFK anyways LOL).

So meh, since I cant swear/threaten them away, I don't really care as long as they don't ks me.

Besides to murder them with an AK47, is gonna cost me aloooot of bullets.

I'm legit, always have been and always will been. I don't like bots, i would rather they didn't exist, but i am mature enough to accept that life as well as SRO isn't perfect. There will always be injustices in life. No matter what we do we will never get a perfect society. People will always break the rules, whether that be for their gain or the thrill or breaking a rule. So because of this simple fact, i don't extend any hatred towards the people behind their actions, i just choose to view them in game as a person of lower status, but in real life they are the same as any other individual.

Add that one in and ill vote for it ^^

There's indeed a high chance that this will turn in a flamefest yeah. People just feel offended way too fast while the other person might not even meant it that way. Others just randomly accuse other people of doing something without any evidence or valid reasons. If we just calm down and use our brains before hitting 'Submit Post' then we might just be able to discuss without any flames.

It has became part of the game, so just live with it. There is a bot that KS at your spot, move away to another spot, i believe there are still some friendly bots that dont KS.

I bot because it makes life easier for me and I have more time to do my passion and hobbies than to do the dirty work. Why do the dirty work when technology can do it more efficiently without getting tired?

heh thing is that no one can do anything about bots... it can be only worse for legit community...
if i was like most of legit players -> "i hate fu*kin bottersa,lags, dcs,server traffics, gold farmers,gold buyers and joymax" i would leave sro or at least move to ksro... isnt that kinda silly that real whinners only talk and dont make decissions?

anyway sro is great game i wish that there were no botters but we know how it is... dont cry!! accept it or leave...

When I started out I was like "the" hardcore anti-botter and jumped on the anti-bot bandwagon. That was until I met a couple of players in game. I was like, how the hell did they lvl up that fast T,T and me catching up with a pure str char (racing their pure int botted char of course) and I did it, raced it, and I thought I was just as good. That was until I found out that they were botting.

You could imagine how disappointed I was knowing this. Sro being the first mmorpg I played, and I was this person trying to prove being a hardcore gamer etc. When I played other games and loose out badly, I would go and learn more about the game, come back to it, and try to be better. It works well with MTGO, I sucked badly at that game, months later I made money on it, and after a year I made over a thousand us$. (Got nearly 4k$ dispersed on several accounts, liquefying it to fund my sro addiction).

But I digress, I know these players too well in game, and I couldnt just turn my backs on them. So I kept jumping servers, but the situation was the same. So I though the hell with it. The reason I played sro was to have fun and meet other players. Looking past the obvious rules transgression, I just started chatting to them. Btw, botting guilds are very chatty, and thats a fact. Made friends with alot of players on sro, regardless of how they play the game. I like sro, and I think it will be a better game without bots/botting/gold trading, but I dont think anything will change at the moment.

The char is in Guild and bot set to KS Everything ! This is very annoying !

This thread will quickly get locked when ppl start to post accusative comments about other players (flaming would ensue etc). Plus, a thread on an issue like this should be productive at least, and how could we achieve that when players arent able to post openly.

With the state we are in, this thread was doomed to be biased from the start (and not in a bad way though, but the views will be one sided). Maybe making suggestions for improvement in gaming conditions or discussing solutions for problems in the game and in the community would be time better spent.
