I think ppl underestimate warlocks and overestimate wizards the truth is that warlocks and wizards are evenly matched when they are fighting against each other. Warlocks are very usefull when fighting giants and pt giants. For example when a wizard and warlock the same lvl fight a monster at least 5 lvls above them the warlock will just stand back and execute curses on the monster while the wizard who does big damage get's all the damage from the monster. And when the monster is killed all the curses that the warlock puts on it adds up and you can't forget all the abnormal statuses that the warlock puts on it such as poison and desease add extra damage and also the skill wheel bind which keeps the monster from healing over time. So all those skills will add up over time and when the monster is killed the warlock will most likely get the kill while the wizard will probably be dead. And also u can't forget stun so if the wizard does die the warlock will still be safe and all the warlock has to do is run a good distance away from the monster and just start doing curses all over again then u repeat, then u can also tank with vampire touch.

warlocks are like magical rogues i 1 vs 1 a warlock once we took each other out everytime somtimes id 1 hit her but she would kill me by curses a little while later or she would kill me and my poison would finish her

Ouch....I can't even edit that to be less painful to read. You should really consider working on self-editing your THOUGHTS.

+1 and I've tried it it's a pain if u want to go warlock+wizard u have to keep buying new weapons all the time so it's very expensive and u have to farm quite a bit

I think you're right, people do underestimate warlocks. They might not deal the highest magical damage, but their skills are just as good, and provides a unique array of offensive and defensive skills (some are proactive like stun, and vampiric touch).
I was wondering if the magic atk passive would stack if you were taking both wizard and warlock.

I wouldn't know I dropped wizard at lvl 16

Well maybe because it is one long run on thought instead of broken up for easier reading? Eventually you will understand, in a few years maybe.

Well yes warlocks are underestimated true, different game style then wizards.
But 1 on 1 warlock will lose big time under wizards. Simple fact wiz just keeps stealth on until it kills the warlock
And about ks-ing wizard ... Well I don't know but I don't see a wizard tanking giants and party mobs so good luck out dmg it
Warlock in party pvp >< if the other side got an out of job/cape cleric
And y start a post and say : at lv16 >< come back at lv50+ and then write a topic.

Warlock skills are pretty amazing, but being a Wizard totally throws Warlocks out of the competition.

He died a bunch of times but if he 1 hit the warlock we were doomed. So we kept repeating stun debuffs DOT and me with my maddening and bash sometimes flip to save the warlock. It was fun. Sadly I did not take any screens.

To be honest, it is extremely difficult to read your post.
Wizard and warlock are both castors, so the aggro they have would be the same; and therefore it is equally likely for the mob the attack any of them.

hehe warlocks are fun to play with.. =]
sleep/stun... and all those curses are absolutly hilarious at times
i remember some guy who kept hitting people and running into safe zone for pvp
so i waited for him and once he popped out i cast a DoT on him
he ran back, but then died while waiting there... XD

i was so close!!
not sure if any1 seen a warlock do a move that a skull apears on the enemy head beware....muhahahaha =) 2400 damage no matter what lvl u are.
at lvl 50 warlocks starts to learn wide area attack they can attack up to 3 monster at once so beware
every move they had b4 in the low lvls turn into wide area and they still keep upgrading there normal 1 mob hit skills

don't feed the trollz
also i think warlocks are better than wizards mostly because they've got that shield....i can kill any wizard 1 hit but if that warlock blocks im probably gonna die unless i've got the expensive pills on me

The problem with Warlocks is that until higher levels they don't do enough damage, back when i was playing my level 19 rogue xbow character i could easily kill warlocks up to level 25 unless their Sleep spell worked, but if i Resisted to it he was doomed.

try getting 2 curses on you before u shoot.
unless you're saying that you kill them before they have a chance to react... of which then it's just a matter of whoever attacks first i guess...

If you've played WoW warlocks, you don't appreciate these when you come to SRO (or come back to it). Too used to being overpowered .
Anyway yeah I like warlocks a lot but I don't think you should choose them if you just want to be a damage-dealer. When it comes down to it, wizard is the best damage-dealer. You want someone who can keep the enemy from doing much damage, (sleep, stun, etc.) warlock's the class you're looking for. I wouldn't say necessarily that one is better than the other, just depends what kind of abilities you want. Most people who go into INT classes love damage-dealing (from my experience), so wizard is the way to go for them.

yeh, i reckon warlocks are actually pretty good. i guess most people make cleric because they see screenshots of a high lvl cleric doing massive damage to a mangyang while they are in zerk.

you don't understand i have a lvl 35 wizard on csro so i think i know what I'm talking about and no when 1on1 with warlock vs wizard the winner depends on who get's in the first hit and warlocks are more than a match for tankers, daggerrouges(from afar) and wizards.

I love my warlock, I remember when people were saying they were shit, and now so many warriors choosing warlock as their sub class and other people choosing warlocks as their sub class to.
I love warlocks cause I can survive on my own most of the time, as long as i'm focusing what i'm doing and not paying attention, lol. Having a skill that sucks out hp from the enemy helps out big time and especialy when you start getting higher lvls you'll get one that sucks out up to 5 peoples hp at once giving you even more.
I also love it cause of the stun/sleep skills, in guild wars they help big time, when ever I stuned someone Juey would just take care of them and the'd be dead, lol. Sleep's good to, but if your to lower lvl then the person you want to put to sleep on the average it won't always work. But if your near their lvl it's...sweet I love putting this guy on my server Zeus to sleep, he gets pissed off all the time i do it, he loves it, lol.
Not only that, but the scream mask skill is awsome to, that is one of the best buff's i've ever seen in my entire life. Having a buff that stuns people that attack you is hot and people will love you for giving it to them, lol.
I think underestimating warlocks is a big mistake, and wait untill the 7x skills, those are the best skills i've ever seen, when I get fully farmed ima have some serious fun..

yeah, scream mask is awesome. I usually put them on the tankers, and theres nothing but stunned mobs all over the place.
