Can it be that random dc's are somehow related to premium users joining the server when its full?
like kicking a random non-premium player for the premium user who wants to join.
Because i can't imagine how they would be able to keep the server capactiy not from being exceeded with premium users who want to join.
i don't know if this was discussed, search didn't find anything.

it could be random. 2999/3000 (or 2499/2500) chance for you not getting kicked.

Well yes it could be, but would that even be noticable with the chance to get a disconnect allready?

yes but on the server list thingie, the max player who exceeded server capacity were 2. couldn't be that few.

It's my understanding(and I could be wrong) that if a premium user wants to log into a full server, then they get in without someone being kicked(the result being you get a server population of 3001/3000, for example.)
So I would say that the answer to your question is no.

But i really think there is more then 1 premium user who logs in to the game (for a certain time interval) and i don't think that the usual disconnecting rate is higher then the login rate, so the server must be easily overloaded

Even if it was yes i don't really care, cause i don't have premium anymore and i'm not having problems with dc's
They should just kick out all the freeloaders, would be a smaller better controlable community aswell

I think it comes in spikes.. myself and friends that have a premium get dc more then non-premiums for a while, then we get dc less than the non-prems for a while.

So they could even kick premium users for other premium player to join
i'm just speculating. As i said before, i can't imagine how they would be able to control server capacity otherwise.

For that you would have to have statistics of how many players log in and out at the peak times and how many of them are premium users.
If the biggest part of the premium users is allready in and enough non premium users disconnect themselves there is no problem. Except for not being able to log in

Euro increase of disconnects has more to do with the buggyness if you ask me.
Logging in without premium was harder before the euro update.

servers cannot....i repeat cannot go over their limit.....if its possible for a server to be 3001/3000 than that means its possible for a server to be 4000/3000 and i think we all know thats not possible otherwise we'd be getting alot less lag and we wouldn't even have the screens that say "easy" "crowded"
so imo YES PT tickets kick users when the server is full so they can log in. And no i don't think the kick is targeted at none PT users i think its just a random kick.

Unless the capacity has been limited to 3000 software wise. There have been times that the game lagged a lot worse everywhere u went. You couldn't even grind at that time cause of the lag.

Lag is not only caused by server fullness.

its a contributing factor....a large one and im not confusing lag (internet related) to slowdown (computer related)....the less fulla server is the less lag there will be and consequently the less slowdown....thats my theory anyway

+1
i believe so, no matter what! Joymax WILL have to let a prem user on otherwise they could get sued o_o
without d/c`ing someone to let him in .. what could they do?

No i know that, but the lag occurred at the same times it was suddenly easy to log in at peak times after an update. And the next update it was hard to log in again and the lag was gone.
I mean if you join now and are in taklamakan or some other grind spot the lag is not as bad that you cannot grind.
