At first, everything was an open discussion.

Then the word "bot" became a bad word. Calling someone a botter would get your thread locked, post deleted, etc. Fair enough, cause SRF has traditionally always been a rather carebear, legit forum.

But I have noticed that the issue with the word "bot" seems to have also extended to the word "legit". Are there no longer legit players? Have they become so rare that no one believes ANYONE is legit anymore? Has the community gotten so jaded?

If I were new to the game and came to SRF to ask what "legit" guild I should join on my server, my thread would most likely get locked or deleted. I think this is a wrong turn for SRF. Encouraging legit guilds to stay that way and be proud of their legit status is impossible if you arent allowed to claim it to be true where someone can read it, right?

already the pro-bot ppl are out and about. srf has become blackfox's home. his way of thinking has won. don't ask, don't tell. ban the big bad legit troublemakers and let the bots pretend to have a legit community.

in my guild I know that atleast 1 person is fully legit, the rest I know are botters or I dont know what they do.
But they're the kind off botters that's most of the time chatting while botting

hey, if this is a pro-bot forum, let them make it clear, and end the whole debate once and for all. its a smack in the face to legit people to have there thread deleated just cuz some bot is not happy about it.

I think that is 99% of the bot problem in SRO. An indifference to it. It's so much harder to be anti bot because of the sheer numbers of botters and the ingame pressure to become either indifferent or at least silent is huge. Buck that in any way and you are guaranteed to be attacked. Here in SRF, mention "legit" and the attacks are instantaneous.

I need 10$ >.< But sadly if I took this bet up, I'd be paying out.

Ban a big part of the forum and the problem's solved.
Now you tell me: who precisely should the admins ban? You can't just accuse someone of botting like that. The reply would be: Fraps or it didn't happen.


That's just the way it is.

If you ask what Legit guild to join the topic would get locked only because eventually ppl would start making accusations about bot guilds....this isn't an assumption its happened before and the mods are just nipping it in the bud before it gets out of hand. Maybe if everyone who botted stopped using SRF we wouldn't have this problem because then they wouldn't feel the need to defend their bot guilds/mates.

Those are legit should be proud of it and those who are pretending will never stop the lie so the conflict will continue for as long as ppl play SRO.

Hmm, the community is already srewed up in SRO.
I think the last resist of the legits ( dont know how much are still left )
are only a waste of time.
SRO has gone beyond the point of repair and soon it will be just bots afking and some PVP when there no longer afk.
Just my opinion on this problem

Anyways, nightbloom or Fly (or anyone else): no matter how legendary or famous you are, nobody can guarantee freedom of speech. And that applies to all areas.

Legit is such a vague term.
People can claim they're legit while they're always afk botting.

BTW there should be an immunity from banning for some time so people can admit they bot, it would clarify a lot of questions and after that we can continue happy
