So if you change your media.pk2 file to Korean and add a 0A hex string after the "Korean" so it will look like "Korean." it will give you nude "patch" and give Korean names to all untranslated things and the other things will remain English. At least thats what it did to me.

But the important thing here is that it changes the server status, and it updates in-game so when a "FULL" goes to "CROWDED" you can be quick and get in the server. :!:

Well i understand it, i saw it before in one of Cruor's posts where he recorded 10 minutes of server traffic using the kSRO media.pk2, that one does show if a server is actually full or has a few spots.

Ofcourse JM wants all non-premium people to suffer and not letting them know when there is a spot and when there isnt.

i think he mean that ksro login system is different there is crowded and and full but on isro we only have crowded even when its full

Yes so you can actually see when the sever goes from Full to Crowded and quickly log in.

How exactly do u change the media files? Can some1 please be kind enough to post a step-by-step method. Sorry, but I'm a noob at pk2 =(

To demonstrate what "ThatBluePerson" is saying:

in iSRO:
server has 3000/3000, display message = crowded
server has 2999/3000, display message = crowded

in kSRO:
server has 3000/3000, display message = full
server has 2999/3000, display message = crowded

Translation, you can see when there's a spot available on the server for you, while on iSRO you just try...

I'm at work right now so I can't verify, but I thought I remembered seeing a "language" setting either on the Options screen in the Silkroad loader (with the start button) or in the in-game options. Could you just change it there so you don't have to pk2 edit? It's been a while since I've looked, but I thought there was an option right in the loader screen's settings.

It could be done... if you wanted to get banned lol when you login to the server it keeps track of it and can tell if its there files or edited ones most pk2 editing you can get away with but ones such as this can get you banned fast :roll:

yes you can get banned for it lol i mean some mightn ot because we all know gm's are lazy but there are days they check this stuff an ban for it.

The only people who get banned for PK2 editing are the ones who make changes visible by other users, like creating characters with illegal names like [GM]whatever, or when they take screenshots of PK2 edits and post them on the official silkroad forums. Silkroad doesn't currently have the ability to scan your PK2 files upon launching.

you can not get banned for a strictly client side edit like this....
