and threatens to hack and all that. Im Farking pissed right now. some dude ( no names mentioned )on my server keeps talking shit and killing me . he claims i scammed his friend and such. GRRRR

Don't you hate it, when someone bigger and stronger than you in life picks on you. He bashes you face in and send you to hospital all because of some stupid unjustified reason?

And don't you hate it, when people get so annoyed by something has has such minor insignificance to the other problems that people face everyday.?

I only really hate it when they are bots lol, at least if they aren't cheated you can lvl up hard and have a chance to get some revenge.

As for threatening to hack, thats more sad and funny then annoying.

TBH I found threats of hacking in Silkroad Unnerving. Its quite disappointing how people can be such thoughtless, selfish, jerks

There was a spree of "hacking" on all the servers during beta 2, a little after Troy Server opened.

1) Somehow these "hackers" actually were able to access Joymax's database. They only saw Username and Password so often the hacking was random.

2) Other "hackers" hacked into SilkroadTavern's database. It was found that a lot of the users had the same Username and PW for both Tavern and Silkroad.

3) Some claimed to have evidence that Tavern provided other people's ID and PW for money. There were numerous accusations from many different people. And different times also. This was never proven. But still interesting to note.

To this day Tavern denies that the hacking had anything to do with them. Claiming their security was never breached. Bunch of bull crap. There have been clear cases which are undeniable. Example: as experiment during this time people specifically changed their PW to match that as Tavern. Few days later, they were hacked. Too many coincidences. I don't believe in coincidences of this type.

During this time, my guild on Aege, 1hp, often trash talked often during PvP. It was part of the fun then, at that time at least no hard feelings, people just took it as a game.

Then one day one of the person began to make threats of hacking. Our leader responded calling him script kiddie and other names. They were both dutch so the trash talking continued in dutch.

Next day, our leader hacked, Guild Notice threatened the rest of us with hacking also.

yea..still kinda annoying how he keeps saying " ROMANIANS ARE ThE BEST HACKERS NO ONE CAN HACK FASTER " blablabla...

I've got endless threats and haven't ever been hacked before.

i've sent out lots of hacking threats but i never acted upon them due mainly to the fact that i dont know how to

That accusation has been floating around since the beginning of time. lol I dunno if it's true or not. I remember that when Phunky got hacked, the first thing I asked him was if his Tavern account and ig account were the same. I remember him saying he thought so, but not if it was confirmed. Who knows.

If he talk shit, ignore him or just "LOLLLOLLOLOO" to piss him off.
If he kill you, let him do so since he'll get murder stat.
If he kill you in cap fight, just go cap fight somewhere else.

that is not the real sinstrike i think he got hacked cos he was in my union if its the same 1

Hey, I can't remember if I ever posted here but after reading this I thought I should.

Quite often people think nothing of making iresponsible and unfounded comments that have the effect of damaging the reputations of others. One person says something random and unfounded, someone quotes this original post 3 months later ("I once read..") then it's requoted and requoted again by someone who never even read the original post and before you know it the rumour is now apparently fact.

First of all, did anyone ever hack the tavern database and use details to access peoples game accounts? There's no real way of telling just as there is no way of telling if the same happened here or anywhere else. No obvious signs of hacking where ever there. What I can say to you is SRT runs on paid software with the very latest security patches installed as soon as they are released. I don't think there is currently a more secure forum software available.

For a long time we have had an unmissable message on the srt registration page that told people that we did not want their game details in our forum database for their own safety and ours...


This is the best and a perfect example of stupid posts getting quoted and then later read as fact because someone "heard it somewhere". I remember this incident clearly and the fact that you felt the need to post "many paople" makes me question your motives here as this rumour was started by 1 person... Someone once sent me a PM on SRT asking me if I would sell them account details from the SRT database. I banned this person from SRT there and then. They then came here to SRF proclaiming that we where selling accounts and trying to make out that their ban only helped to prove it. That was the whole of the story. If you are in any doubt, the original topic should still be here on srf somewhere and possibly on srt too, feel free to actually do some research and learn some facts before speaking.

Nothing much else to say other than topics like this are probably the number 1 worst aspect of being involved with running a fansite.
