Well, i haven't seen any post talking about this. I'have a lvl 59 cleric with 57 masteries and i've calculated my mag defense wearing robe and light armor with full NPC set 7 degree. The results are:
Wearing light armor, i have 989 mag defense with all my buffs.
Wearing robe, i have 968 with all my buffs too.
Does this mean at Cap with lvl 72-77 set light armor gives you more magical defense than robe?
Remember there are those two skills that if weaing robe gives you additional magic defense.

you're supposed to have more phy and mag defense if you wear light armor because of the passives which increases that.
even tho the stats of the robe (for mag defense) are better than the stats of the light armor (for mag defense), that passive will highly increase your defense, and your int and str buffs will increase in a certain number.
Now if cleric wears robe, he/she will use less mana and he/she will heal better.
edit: i personally prefer wearing robe, when i tried light armor, i ran out of mana and i couldnt heal my party that well.

seriously... its a new low for joymax
i mean the robes are pretty shitty IMO (plain, basic... look like freakin pilgrims) but the light armors look worse... i feel like the village people when i wear light armors.

I've got to say it... I wear Light Armor but I might change to robe on 8th degree because 8th degree light armor looks... Well... Ridiculous. I don't want to be a jester.
After getting Recovery Division, I had no trouble keeping my party alive most of the times. I just must learn to stop suiciding myself by using Offering on party monsters that aren't being attacked

stick with light armor the mag defense /phy buffs make up which makes it feel like your wearing the mag of a robe and the phy of armor
nachals hit 100-270 on me and iam lvl 67 when i dont have my buffs they hit 200-500 if i wore robe they would hit less of cource but yachals would pwn you they hit 200-300 on me with light armor with buffs
and there is only like 2 mag mobs from 65-80

Light Armor Definitely...
Charity Passive increases your buff output, both Defenses and Stats increase (Note: The passive isn't for you but for your buffs)
Glory and Favor Armor Passives on the other hand are for you... (Note: Adds Pdef/Mdef while wearing Light Armor Set)
The only good thing about Faith Passive with robe is that it adds to your recovery ability (Like that on Angel Wings I think, not your actual healing power) and reduce status ailments effect or also a 50% chance to remove the status... (Note: Doesn't help with stuns, just those weakining, curse, etc.) But you have a buff to resist and skill to cure anyway...

Is that a good reason to decide between robe and light armor, only because it looks better? For example i have heuksal at 80 and blade at 0, and i choose blade just because it looks better.
