Well, I remember starting this game so long ago.. 2 years ago, when being a lvl 24 was awesome, and 1 million gold was good good good money.

I quit/returned so many times, but this summer I went over lvl 40 for the first time and now I am at lvl 79, on the verge of lvl 80.

But, I have been playing against my will from lvl 59-79. In other words, I hated every minute of it- except for the friends ive made, which were awesome.

So 2 days ago, I sort of looked at what was up. My grades were dropping, I was losing real friends, gaining weight, my acne was coming back full speed, my hands hurted and my eye sight is starting to go down hill. All for what? A game. A game full of botters, scammers, gold sellers, cheaters, aweful people and piss poor excuses for human beings- from stupid little kids to racists ( anti turk people who murder turks or kick them from parties , same with germans )

Yeah, I was a high level in a game, but in real life, I was on the verge of ruining my life. So, even with 20 days of GT and SP ticket left, I charged back 50$ of silk, deleted the game, put the screenshots on a disk, cut myself off from the social/game network and shut off my computer for the first time in months.

I quit! I know, your all sick of hearing this, but I feel like I have some sort of petty obligation to say.. get out now. If your just starting, stop! Go study something, learn, make yourself better in real life instead of wasting time on a game. Games like this DO ruin your life, SRO is just as bad for people as WOW is.

I'll miss the memories, but a part of me is looking back and regretting wasting 2 years of my life.

Its a game. Its not like it can force u to sit on that chair n click the mouse.
U play for fun, it doesn't ruin your life.
U, yes urself ruined your own life. If you think it is ruined now.

I am honored by your decision. SRO is like any other problem, such as drinking *which im slowly being addicted to as well*. It ussually isn't too dangerous but when abused it can be devastating to ones life. I respect your decision to discover when you are becoming a junkie.

I wish you manage your school and physical problems better. All the best luck to you.

Well gl in real life :)

but this is what i think you were playing for all the wrong reasons,

your right about the game full of lil kids scamming being E-gangsters,
what you got to do is find a great bunch of people and enjoy your time on the game dont waste your time on it play it when u feel like it i have a week or so break every now and then and come back wanting to play on sro, enjoy each level its not a race to 80 its how you get there and who you meet who you help and what you do.

play for fun!!^.^

you burned out man, too much play, i do this just for fun i play like 4hours a day or more, but i have a real life too, not much but i have other things to do, well atleast you got to 79, the highest i got was like 42 in like 3 months i used to PT on the two months, yeah yeah, you gonna outgrow games, thats life, for us we just cant get enough coz we cant login lolz, anywayz im not quitting just taking a few months break, when i had PT i ran to a ks problem it really got me so mad i took a break for a few months, i came back when new servers went open, bad move for me, coz now i realize there are more gold bots on new servers coz they are harvesting to cater to low levels and starters who want to get ahead of the game

i can buy PT and GT too but its sure beats the idea of free to play,

LAME! People that cannot manage to multi-task have a problem, not the tasks themselves. Thus, if you can't walk and chew gum at the same time, it's not the gum's fault, it's your inability to walk! If you can't handle the responsibilities of life because of a game, YOU have the problem, not the game. It cannot make you do anything or not do anything.

PS - I just finished a Master's thesis. So yah, I've managed to play SRO, religiously, yet complete a graduate degree AND function in a successful touring rock band AND work 40+ hours a week AND maintain a social life. Ummmmm, yeah, you see where I'm going here.

Hey! how could you tell my sexuality from that post? You must be psychic! Oh wait, it's because I made some sense. And sense-making automatically makes you gay! I see! And what better way to prove that one is NOT gay than to call someone else gay? Man, you obviously are NOT gay. In fact, you're so not gay you're not even funny.
