Who cares if you scammed him? The victim was obviously an idiot and had it coming  . It's your choice. Since you are asking this question you obviously haven't returned it and greed got a hold of you. Same could be said for items dropped off murderers, or items dropped for some stupid reason during a guild war, or lag spike.
[Btw to explain the situation better, the idea is here that the seller put in the wrong price by accident kinda thing...]

It depends.
Last time (in other game) i bought some stuffs really cheap.
Then this guy pm'd me and went like "aww amelie, i accidentaly put a wrong price on the item, may i have it back plz?".
and I gave it back, and it was everything ok.
Now if that dude didnt pm you saying that you ripped him off (ripped himself actually), then i guess he just owned himself.

i once bought a 72+7 blade for 27mil on Xian from a non-acquainted fellow countryman (thru his stall), he asked me to return..
when i refused, he claimed it to be selling it for another acquainted fellow countryman whom i know...who later do i know is botting 
also gotten a fully pimped 76+4 pants for 2.6mil (thru network)
next thing i knew, i got mail from the staller...whois also another fellow countryman, asking me to return....
such luck eh?

Tell him to come dh south to get his item back , open a stall , put his item for 1 gold , and then close the stall , and laugh hard at him.
btw , this has nothing to do with scamming. his own fault.
