So we all have our opinions about the job system since the arrival of the new triangular conflict... some people prefer it having to stick with your job... others like myself thought that being able to change was a better sytem... but i really hope that joymax doesnt stop here and stick with the system as it is.

I have done alot of thieving on xian to reach the 4th position on the rankings and have thieved almost every night since i finished farming several months ago, but i find myself being a little bored with the system as it is.

what is there to do?... if you cant find any traders you just go to east gate dw to kill hunters... fun for a while but it doesnt really achieve anything.

I want joymax to realise that this games strong point IS the triangular conflict... it shudn't be treated as just an extra thing in the game... it shud be the main focus of the game... being called 'silk road' should suggest that it is the trade system that defines the game... and makes it stand out over others.

I have had many thouughts about how thay could 'spice up' the trade system... and well... there are sooooo many possiblities to explore... from maybe having NPC trades that spawn in various places for thieves to find and attack (especially in those times of aimlessly wondering around trying to find traders).... to having huge 'party mob' type trades spawn for thief parties with hundreds of npc huunters.... to maybe even expanding on the jobs in the system....

i.e. instead of just Trader - Hunter - Thief... maybe have more options with different benefits like;

Trader - gets maximum profit and exp from trade runs

Trader/hunter - gets average profit from trade runs / can also gain hunter exp and profit for hunting for other parties.

Thief - maximum profit and exp

Thief/trader - average profit and exp / can also choose to either continue the traders run to the next city for higher profit or take back to thief den.

etc....

just so many things they could do.... i mean dont they have staff meetings about this stuff o.O...

what do you guys think about the system as it is?

I just think it's a bit hard to do cooperative job runs, whether thief or trade, with your guild or union - especially union - because of the alias system. Aliases are good if you want to hide your identity, but it can be difficult to keep track of the aliases of all guild/union members so you know not to attack them.

The job system needs to change your alias color to identify you as union or guild (maybe as an in-game option). If it's an option, then the jobber can choose to take part in union runs, or can choose to remain anonymous.
