I drop 1 gold on the ground and wait to see how long it takes for someone to pick it up. I keep doing that till unique spawns. I try not to watse more than 30k though.

obviously i dont do it when there heaps of people around

If not that, i just kill the mobs around me with my wolf. Wolf ftw.
