When you open Silkroad, there's that video that plays in the background while you log in. Is there anyway to disable it or get rid of it in the Silkroad folder? It takes about 5minutes to open up Silkroad, but once I'm ingame it runs perfect.

Wrong section, and I don't think it's possible, however I'm not sure.

What makes your game load for 5 minutes is the GG splash screen, you can click or press a letter on your keyboard to cut the animation...

Well the game attempts to open for a while, then my desktop resolution changes, which means it's getting ready to open the game, the my screen goes black, then the game pops up and I'm ready to log in.

It uses to open rally fast, but they did something to the game, adding stupid stuff I guess, now it takes forever.

Go to options and turn off "High setting intro" i think thats it.

I have the same ''problem''. It takes a while to me to open sro. First it gets black. Then the version numbers pops up. And after that the log in thing comes.
But ingame, i cant complain.

TO make things easier and faster, people use the same resolution their desktop is set at. If you had set a different res, they updated the client and reset it the settings to default, so you might want to fiddle with those again.

Why don`t you guys use the minimized silkroad feature? the game loads a lot faster for me.
