got addiction on the wrong time! what 2 do?

i know some ppl have this problem and also me

... i'm striving to get my life but everything in my head says..."shit MAN!!! your char. is like 75. 99 % till lvl up go fast move move move!!!" that happens when P_A gave his acc. to me...(well i asked it from him)

and yes i got a hold of my life now... when the big test comes i concentrate on studies... and when its all good... i play

...

but my problem is... i got the addiction on the wrong day :banghead:

yeah... I'm stupid to get my worst symptom ever on the night before big test!!!

well the big test was done and almost failed... tnx to my seat mates that are very helpful (not sarcasm) XD...

well anyways... i need some advice from all of you ppl in srf to give your technique on resisting SRO addiction before something special arrives

i surely know that every one of us has experienced this problem before, and better give some advice to ppl who needs it the most...

like me not only me but other ppl who scan in pages who has the same little problem that i have...

I recommend get closer to the family [Mom&Dad] If you still see them often. Talk to them, and you will find that there better things in this worlds, than easy things. Join a sport club, rite now I'm seeking a kendoclub. that and I am waiting for nursing school to start.

I'm 19 btw.

I think it will be very hard to do some studying with a stall up because in the back of your mind you'll always be wondering if you sold something lol. The most effective thing you can do is to just shut the game down and not start it until your done. Its hard the first couple of times but it will only get easier as you go.

I have a similar problem, I am one of those that play 30mins b4 exam
some suggestions:

1. uninstall SRO (don't even keep the setup file)
2. Pop some RAM out of your computer and give it to your friend and tell him to not give it back till exam/test are over, even if you beg. That way your computer will lag so much it hurts to play sro
3. Go play the guitar when you are twitching to play
4. Go to the library to study

some of them failed, some of them worked especially the RAM one

and DON"T EVER STALL! because you'll look every 10 mins to see if you sold something, or if someone had PMed you

Lol true.. don't stall if you have to study, your concentration will be 0

ok... 2nd step seems to go a bit far (might be the level of addiction, lol)
just uninstall and delete your setup file..

Well do what I had to do and stay away from any silkroad related things including this forum. When I wasnt sure if I was going to come back or not, I gave my id and pass and asked a friend to change it, and not tell me. As of now, I dont have access to my account until maybe say 90 cap comes :/.

well in my condition im not totaly addicted, but sometimes addiction kicks in :/ (but mostly i dont get addicted since grinding and destroying is boring -.-), and if its all fine and good then i will find a perfect time to play

but still keep the advice coming

and yeah not only SRO but also other games

i think your addiction would eventually dimish by the problem of logging on. Im debating whether or not to quit because i spent hours a day logging in, its friggin annoying :banghead:

Honestly, its just a video game. Just stop playing, I myself know how it is to be addicted to silkroad, it is just a mindset.

Call up your friends and go hangout, if you'd rather play video games than hangout with a few buddies than you have problems.

Also, school is going to effect your life alot. If you cannot see that, and rather play video games than worry about your school work. You aren't going to make it to far in life.
